GI: Complete MSP Turbo System

FS: Complete MSP Turbo System

(Update 1-7-11) This is now for sale. Price is $1800 or best offer for all Turbo specific components under the hood and the ECU. The turbo is in excellent shape with virtually zero shaft play. These parts are from a stock, adult owned southern car that has not been exposed to road salt and the condition of the parts reflect it.

I've got an 03 MSP with 109K stock (adult woman owned) miles on it. The motor gave up the ghost and I plan on installing a naturally aspirated setup in there. I'm considering parting with all of the turbo components as a complete kit. Everything from ECU, manifold/turbo/downpipe all the way to the air box with related tubing and the intercooler/radiator setup (radiator is bad and may have caused the ultimate demise of the engine). All oil lines, MBSP, A/C condenser, 02 sensors, and all pertinent hoses would be included as well.

woahwoahwoah, hudson valley?! ive NEVER seen an MSP in person except mine, what parts are you at?

I'm up in Ulster County. There are at least 2 others in the area that I'm aware of.

Is the mass air meter the same as well?

Thanks for the info.

doesn't N/A MSP kinda defeat the purpose of having an MSP? But i'm sure people will be happy with the parts :) glws...

a complete MSP turbo kit, if 100% is OEM, would be worth a sizeable amount. people always want the odd part here or there, but the entire thing is EXTREMELY expensive to get from mazda and would be a godsend to anyone considering a conversion.

things that would have to be included to be a FULL kit: (what you missed in bold)
-turbo/wastegate, manifold, s pipe, midpipe (jpipe is the same but you should probably just include it)
-SMIC, hot pipe, cold pipe, turbo intake (rare as hell) and elbow, BPV
-oil feed, oil tee, tapped MBSP, oil return line
-hardlines for coolant, coolant feed elbow, oil cooler, oil cooler bolt, softlines, and whatever is used for the coolant return (drawing a blank, here)
-ECU, both O2 sensors, and theres a check valve somewhere in the vacuum lines thats MSP specific
-radiator, upper radiator brackets, both fans, AC condenser, all related lines (GET YOUR CORE PRESSURE TESTED!!!!!)

to go to NA, you would need a NA radiator/AC condensor/lines/brackets, header, precat, j/midpipe, and ECU. a little less involved...

Kind of... I currently own this supercharger setup from the RR-Racing Probe http://www.rr-racing.com/Project.htm
If I end up selling the turbo setup; that may find it's way under the hood of the MSP with a few minor modifications.

Thanks for the info. I'm still on the fence about selling this since it's such a clean original car with a relatively low number (car number 20-something). But since I'm still gauging interest I'll put the price at $1800 for every single turbo related/turbo specific part under the hood including the condenser, 02 sensors, and ECU. The radiator is no good and the valve cover is staying with the car. I pulled all the piping today and checked the turbo for any excessive shaft play and found none. It appears to be in excellent shape. The bolts that hold the heat shield on came off with no drama at all, and the manifold has no cracks to speak of after a quick visual inspection. Here are a couple of pictures:

damn man, dont kill an MSP, the first mazdaspeed sold in the US COMEON!!!

It's actually the 26th to be exact... And I'm not killing it, it's already dead. Just considering bringing it back to life in a slightly different fashion :)

=\ **dies a little on the inside** you should at least temporarily resurrect it so you can have one last joyride

$1800 is reasonable for the full kit (as long as you include the midpipe) even without the radiator. youre right on the money, actually, i would have priced a full MSP kit at $2000 with everything.

and can we get a better pic of the space between the EM runners 3 and 4?

truth, its over 3k from dealer, when i had P5 i dared to email onlinemazdaparts for a price and he said it wasnt worth it hahah

I actually figured $1800 as a high number to start with some room for negotiating the A/C condenser (which I wouldn't need to replace to install a standard radiator) and similar components if any.
