Getting the rotors turned already?

Have an 02 P5 with just 13,000 miles on it and it has a slight vibration when braking so I'm taking it in to service. They say it's most likely the rotors are slightly warped.

Is this common on a low mileage Mazda? I've never had this happen so early on other new cars. Are there any things I need to watch for? I'm going to have them rotate the wheels/tires while they have them off.

I have been told to get them cryod if you have problems like that. I am considering doing it. They are supposed to be able to withstand heat better, and last a LOT longer.
Just a thought.

What is cryod?

on a side note, if you want to get together sometime I'd like to see your MP3.

cryod: cryogenically frozen. Bonds and strengthens the metal to ungodly strength. It's probably ~$80/set for the rotors. Check out www.aimtuning.com. They have info on Cryo Treating.
I used to have my go-cart engines done like this. I could run 20-30 degrees higher afterwards, meaning using more fuel, less oil, and got better power. Similar concept with brake rotors.

Sounds good, thanks for the info.

Let me know if you'd like to get together sometime. I live on the west side.

had my rotors resurfaced at 24,000 miles, my rear ones are nasty again at 33,000. I don't "beat" my car at all so I guess I have bad luck. Anyway I think I'm going to upgrade, after the warranty expires of course, because I can get them replaced or resurfaced for free now.
