Getting New Springs

So I decided to get myself a set of Racing Beat springs for the car. They are the stock MSP springs. They should lower my car 0.75" up front, and 0.875" in back. Not too much, but since my car is driven all year round, and the roads here suck, I didn't want to lower it too much. Just sent the money off today, hopefully I'll have them in 2 or 3 weeks. Can't wait - the car is coming along nicely - maybe someday I'll even get some pics up on here.

ya man from what i seen ...the price was right, good stuff....hey dont forget to bug me to take my digi cam out this sunday .........if im not in newbrunswick.

ohhh ya, hey make sure ya clean em up real purdy before they go on ....it will look sweet.......when do ya plan to put em on

I'm not too sure when I'll get them on - they're already nice and clean (they are brand new). I'll probably be putting them on in June.

june holy s*** man .....im sure they cant be very hard to do....just make sure ur strut mounts are ok and if they are, everything will be fine ....if ya want i can give ya a hand....they cant be much different on yours than on my 5....damn springs are springs...

just think some free labour and maybe a couple a beer...u might need to get an alignment ....

You will need an alignment after dropping her.

The springs on the Protege's are pretty easy to change. You can do all 4 without even taking off the end links is they give you trouble.

When doing the rear, you just have to unbolt the 4 bolts holding the sway-bar to the bottom of the car and that will allow you to drop the rear struts enough to get the springs off.

Easy two man job.....
