When I went in for my 30K, I asked the service writer what I had to get done, and an oil change was it. I rotate my own tires, otherwise I'd have had them do that as well.Warranty issue also a concern for me after reading another 30k service post where some of these services are required if problems arise before warranty expires. Is it enough to get me to dealer to pay extra $? Yes![]()

NOTHING has to be done by the dealer to maintain the warranty. I agree with Cosmic. The dealer won't touch my car except for warranty work. It takes 'em too long and they can't be depended on to do any better than any other place.Ironically, there's not a lot of work that needs to be done by the dealer to keep this car within warranty. Just the oil and a couple of filters. I'm like you and my time is very limited. Some DIY's I'll do, but the above stuff is relatively inexpensive no matter who does it.
Other preventive items can be done by a 3rd party without the need to involve the dealer. The money you save over time could probably pay for a family trip to Disneyworld, lol.
Just something to keep in mind the next time you take the car in for service.
