I have been having trouble with the traction control wich kills the "power" of the engine almost on every take off.

I read somewhere that holding the Traction Control button for 7 seconds will disable this feature, well I did it, and test it a lot.

I saw better shifting, better turbo response, and MUCH better TAKE OFF.

Everytime you turn off the engine it will reset, so you will have to do it again.

Just turn the engine on, and hold the TCS button for 7 seconds until the dash light of the TCS turns off, you will notice that even if you press the button after doing that the light will not turn on. That means is Traction Control feature is off.

PS: you will love how it shifts quickly when you press the gas while driving, it shifts faster and the turbo spool feels better.

Keep in mind you are disabling the Stability/Traction control which is there for safety reasons...

Just the Traction control, DSC still works, speaking from experience in having the car snap the front wheels in place in a turn.

Turbo spool feels better???

Turbo spool feels better???

Remenber that out throttle body is electric "controlled" the traction control feature also uses the Throttle Body to control your power and reduce spinning. In other words you will feel the turbo charging faster because of that.

I was testing using the AIRBOX top cover unclipped so I can hear the turbo spooling sound and BOV, and with normal driving and the traction control on, you can hear the turbo not spooling that quickly compared to having the traction control off. Maybe the traction control also controls the wastegate on the turbo, like the Neon SRT-4 that the boost is controlled by the PCM, I think the cx-7 traction control in some how controls the (Throttle body, Wastegate) to reduce power and reduce spining in your tires.

Yeah when ALL the nannies were off(taking the battery terminal cable off), I actually felt a little torque steer, but it felt much more peppier and with more pull, when you press the button the same thing happens, but ESC still interferes.
