Gauge Pillars now available...

Pardon my stupidity ...

I'm new to all this car stuff. I've got a buddy at work who races, and he's helping me out, but there's still lots to learn. What function do these gauges provide? I know they let you know more about what's going on, but what exactly do they measure? Are their wiring kits, or do you have to know more than I do about hooking them up? Can you pick what you want to monitor?

Sorry if these questions are remedial, but any info you give will help me out.

Thanks.

well this link is just for the holders for the gauges.

the gauges themselves can measure anything really, boost pressure, manifold pressure, engine temp, trans temp, coolant temp, voltages...exhaust gas temperature...air fuel ratio...

coming sooner....then?

i dunno....

at least they have something up now.

Yes Folks!! It looks like this is the start of something quite good. Of course; these are the same pillars that can be used in any Protege, I guess - not MAZDASPEED specific.

If you are using a digital Turbo Timer/Boost Gauge (Blitz), these pillars ar not needed, unless you wanted Oil Pressure, and perhaps an analog clock, etc...

WTF out of stock!!! I've got 200 miles on mine so far and haven't gone under boost yet but I need a boost guage ASAP. If I can't get guage pods I'll just duct tape it to the pillar LOL j/k... anyone know when they'll be "in stock"?

Pete

seems there is a gauge pods thread in every forum, exterior/interior, msp, p5, mp3. can we just stick to one thread instead of creating a whole bunch of new ones about the same topic? :)
