Gas Cap

I have a ? for anyone that has had a CEL, if you brought your car in for a GAS CAP CEL, did you notice the little white flakes near the gas cap housing?? If so did you tell them to change the fuel filter also OR did you get it documented in writing on you RO work order?? I am bring my car in on thursday morning, and plan on bring that up....and the RECALL I found online for the clunkung noise, when you shift into R (for AWD models only).

If your cel light was caused by a P0455, there is an MTOL from Mazda for an updated gas cap. The P-R clunk noise is addressed by a TSB (not a recall) for an updated front prop shaft with a noise insulation damper.

Thanks, but now the night before I have to bring my car in all of a sudden after 250 miles the CEL went off....but I am still gonna bring it in tomorrow for the CEL, the clunking sound, and to have them note on me RO, that there are lil' white flakes of plastic near the gas door, that are now probably in the gas tank....just in case my fuel pump goes down the line. I also noticed all the scapes on the gas cap
