Actually the G-Tech and similar units are fairly accurate. I took my Beltronics Vector FX2 to the track with me. For 4 out of 5 runs it was within 0.1 second of the actual time. One run was way off, I'm guessing something got screwy.
The G-Tech and the Vector use the same technology to get their results (accelerometers) so I imagine the G-Tech is also accurate.
What tends to be inaccurate is the HP readings. BUT they are consistent, meaning you can gauge how much you get from each mod.
I'm moving this thread to the Performance section. The G-Tech is an electronic device that measures performance. It works in all vehicles, not just the MSP.
lol Yes it works in the MSP...you just misunderstood me.
This thread was originally posted in the MSP section. I moved it here because it's not a MSP specific question (the g-tech can be installed in any vehicle)
off topic - btw love your custom title under your username...we both know it all too well lol
I agree with Jersey and Jeff. They can be very accurate, but only on flat roads. Also, the hp numbers I get with my cousins G-Tech don't seem to be right, but the times seem good, except for the occasional 6 sec 1/4 it throws out.
