Funkalicious21's Protege5 Build/Progress Thread~!

Pictures of the tuck as requested! If you would like more detailed answer you can ask Circuit or myself.

The wires on top of the VC were pushed to the side and then the wires that were on top of the fuel rail was tucked under.

I need some help with one or two things that i forgot where they plug.

In this picture i can't figure out where the wire that has the blue tap around it goes.. Those wires were located near the top mount for the struts. At first i though it was for the Cruise control but i didn't find a sensor or plug.

This picture shows a great clip wire from the driver side right about above the headlight. Im not sure where that goes neither.

And the last thing is where do i plug the waste gate to. I know the vac has to go somewhere on the turbo but i don't see anything. Definitely need some help with that.

nice comin along nicely man, and i think you should keep the short ram, it makes that fact that you have that hood even cooler, lol

what hose did you use for the ps relocation? is it the factory hose that you have pictured?

I got PS hose from Autozone and factory hose to hook up the PS. The one from auto zone was less than 2 feet. I'll measure it if you really want to know. The relocation definitely makes the bay a lot cleaner. =).

I got everything in except for my interior! I finally got the last axle in, radiator, battery, all the fluids except for tranny fluid because i don't have a 23mm socket.

The only things that trips me out is how come my clutch pedal just hits all the way to the bottom and stays there. I thought it'd pop back. No pressure, nothing. I tried bleeding it but nothing moving the fluids. checks all lines, everything seems okay. XD IDK.

I also tried to start the car but there wasn't anything going on. No clicks or anything but at least i have power?

I was just asking because the hose looked prebent. If so, what was the part number? Just keep bleeding the slave cylinder and check for leaks. It took many times for me to finally get all the air out of my system.

Also, pics or it didn't happen :D

And also did a flushing of the wiper fluid bottle. A lot more room.

So I checked all the grounds. They all seem fine. My only thoughts now are about the connections with the msp harness and the p5 harness. Hopefully this weekend chris (circuit) and I can wire up the clutch bypass and hopefully that'll be it. We did realize that some of the pins in the p5 connections are already taken up of where the msp clutch pins are suppose to go. So were skeptical about whether the wiring will work out.

When the clutch goes all the way to the floor, that means u have to bleed the clutch
What I did was take like a jack handle or something and prop it so it's pushing the clutch down, then get a vac pump on the bleeder screw and crack it open, ddrain a bit, close it, pump The clutch a few times, put the jack handle back, and keep bleeding till u get pressure when u pump the clutch... Took me like 4 times

sucks man. btw how are you gonna check/add fluid to your ps?

I already filled the PS bottle and everything seems to be fine. As for check it and filling up again, I can either pop out some screws from the splash guard and check that way. If i wanted to fill it i guess i would have to take off the bumper. It's a cosmetic thing. To me it was ugly to have a yellow bottle out of no where in a black engine bay. definitely looks a lot better where it's not visually seen. I don't mind taking off the bumper to fill it. How often to do you have to change and fill the PS fluid? =D

Im definitely going to try to bleed the clutch this weekend. I have a couple of guys from the local forum helping me out. ill definitely let you guys know what happens after we try to wire it up.

Good news! A couple of my friends (including Circuit) got the motor to turnover last Saturday. Everything seemed to working good. Motor sounded great. Nothing better than hearing the turbo spool up for the first time. Almost made me tear. =*) Just a little tweaks here and there and we hope that everything will turn out great. *cross fingers*
