Looks like someone went on a spending spree lol (thumb) sweet job! Subbin to see how the tranny swap and all that goes

I having a bit of trouble with putting back in the axles. Can anyone help me out with that? I dont think we have an How-to on it. damn.

Wow, That brings back bad memories of how my garage looked..... Only difference is my brakes are blue.

Looks good, Just dont let it take you 3 years to complete like me.

I really hope that it doesn't take that long. It does seem that every time i work on my baby there's always another thing i add to the project. haha Im trying...

Hahaha... i spent more than i ever planned. It's kicking my ass. I hope once i get the car running and get the car State reffed then everything will all green from there. Nothing better than running legally. lol

I have to hold off on installing a few parts because of California super strict Carbon emission standards. That'll be my number one thing to get done once the car is done.

as far as the axle goes....push the axle into the trans until it stops on the c-clip. thread the axle nut on the other end of the axle until is sits hella flush with the first thread. this will prevent the threads from mushrooming while you tap on the axle with a hammer. it helps to have someone hold the strut and the spindle out of the way so that you have a straight on shot while hammering in the axle. you will have to give it a little ass to get them in but by no means am i saying to whale on it!! they should pop in after a few love taps. give not, take the axle outta the trans and spin it a few notches and try again. hope this helps

It does help alot. Ima try it and ill let you know what happens. I appreciate it. I'll have to wait until i can get someone to help me. hahah. I need to get a copper hammer and that'll hopefully help me out on the mushrooming of the axle.

yeah it def does but the axle nut trick works when thats all you got. and now go lure a buddy over with free beer to help you out;)

BTW dont use some dinky ass hammer, it helps to have a 8-10lbs hammer

Lookin damn good Funk :)

I always have the axle in the hub unbolted fom the strut (resting on a 5gal bucket) and lower A arm and use the weight of the hub to pop the axle in.

Yeah, definitely using that size hammer. such a pain trying to swing that and hold up the axles and give a good swing.

I have the hub unbolted to the strut and it's still connected to the lower control arm. and i don't have enough leverage to pop the axles into the hub. damnit..

Sure. I love to share but I'll have to share once I'm done because I'm unsure if I'll have to move anything again. And I'll take picture to show the final setup.

I hope this gives you guys a better picture of my tuck that I'm doing. I also got the pipping for the turbolife all set up. I relocated all the bottles; power steering, coolant, and oil catch. Im still debating if i should go with a short ram because of my DG Air Ram Hood or go with the CAI. Thoughts?

Mazda6 Big Brakes 06-07! Painted them red and got one of the MSP Axles in. The driver side axles isn't working with me. =/

Showing where i relocated the power steering bottle and the Mazda6 Big Brakes. I went to Kragen and i got the wrong size tubing to finish the relocation of the power steering bottle.

Got the Racing Beat Front Swap Bar in and BC Endlinks(a lot thicker than stock). I gotta say that it was a SOB to get the RBFS installed. Dropping the whole sub-frame and lining everything back up..XD

My future plans are to get all the pipping out and polish everything myself. I started but i guess it's better that i get the car running and then slowly work on the pipping when i get the chance to.
