just wondering what everyone would think if someone bagged a ms3, and if so airbagit.com makes a plug and play bolt on kit for the 3 so any opinions post now or for ever hold you piece

If its your thing...Do it.
Just dont expect these closed minded fools here to agree with your decision.
I like all types of cars and styles...And show is cool as well as Speed.

If you like it..Go for it.

Bags are better than springs and coilovers in performance. Proven fact. Only thing is you have to adjust them to do so...otherwise they handle like ass.

My back up on this is from Muscle Car TV and they tested in on a Camaro through cones. And launches. It depends on the bag set-up though...whether you can change front and rear settings etc etc.

so will they be able to take the same abuse as springs or do i have to baby them....?

yea man I had switches on all my cars before and Im getting ready to do it on my protege as long as you dont halfass it and use compresson fittings home depot has them and dot air brake line napa has it and get good valves youll be fine

Air bags are alright but on this forum where guys want to take off their 18s and put on 17s I don't think they will go over to well.

There are airbags that are after performance, and there are airbags that are after some show crap.

That said, this car probably isn't ideal for them.

I have bagged quite a few vehicles including an Acura Integra and a Silverado. I have also helped bag many others. I would not reccommend it if you like to drive hard. They are fun as hell but they will not handle as well as the Mazdaspeed does stock. If you just want to build a show cruiser then go for it. Most tracks won't let you on them with airbags.

Same bags...Its all in the setup.

But in genera..Bags are for show and not for go.
If you want to be fast and handles well...Stay with a static Supension setup...
If you want to look cool and impress those at you local high school...Get the bags.

Like Force Fed said, if you like it. Do it. You'll probably get the s*** bashed out of you here but hey, they don't have to drive it right ? I myself am a big fan of the air bag setup. I really like the look a vehicle tucking tire into the fenderwells. It's not everybody's thing but then again, it's not their car and you don't have to please anybody but yourself. If I had the cheese, I'd bag my P5 right now.

this is my daily driver, i mean yea i like to take it to the strip every so often and love go fast goodies, but i dont see it hurting anything, if your looking good while doing it

i think moroso wont even let you run with airbags...

ehh i think moroso would, they let one of my buddy's race down the track with no hood lol. the tech in they really don't care about anything only if ur battery is tied down lol

they wouldnt be able to tell if you had bags unless you go around hitting the switches, it will just look like another lowered car

You can drive on the streets here with no hood, as can you run at New England Dragway with no hood. Centercaps however, if installed from the outside, must be removed before running.

Suspension is not really something to compare with a hood.
