Fujita Cai

All honesty I really couldn't feel much of a gain. I could tell spool response felt a lil better or maybe that was just the audiable gain. Not sure but I like my investment

Oh ok thanks may look into getting or comparing this intake to the rest of the cai available for the ms6.

I agree!! Those videos of the MS6 is just with a CAI? No aftermarket BOV or cat back? If so then ME LIKES!!! I am getting the Mazdaspeed CAI installed this Wednesday so I am REALLY looking forward to it now!!

Ok, I took my MS6 to the dealer for it's first check-up this past Wednesday and I had them install the Mazdaspeed CAI and wanted the ipod adaptor.

It is confirmed that if you have Sirius installed, they CANNOT install the ipod adaptor (uses same jack in the stereo). I'm just going to let my subscription run out (I only listen to Stern on it anyways) and then have them install it.

They installed the CAI without a hitch and it is FULLY warrantied from Mazda for the length of your normal warranty, if installed by them. The tech told me that if the dealership does not install it, no matter who the manufacturer, it could POSSIBLY void warranty if it's found that the installation was not done correctly. I'm sure if you fought it, they would honor the warranty.
Anyway, this little mod to the car is awesome!!! It takes you by surprise how audible the motor is now, but not overwhelming. This motor LOVES and NEEDS air!! The sound the intake makes under full throttle acceleration is like an elephant drinking from a straw, a little loud, but the stock BOV gives off a nice sneeze when you let off the gas. Nothing obnoxious like I've heard on other cars and you can't hear it inside the cabin if you have the radio above 7. I can REALLY feel a difference in power also! I would say, conservatively, it gives 15 WHP. I personnaly think it could be more because it allows the turbo to spool A LOT faster and the acceleration doesn't die off at 3500-4000 RPM like it did stock. It keeps pulling closer to 5000 RPM's now when it used to just peter out at those revs. I would recommend a CAI to anyone wanting more power and just a little more attention from passerby's. I do have one complaint though, how the hell do you clean the cone filter when it gets dirty?? It is shoved so far down inside the wheel well that the only way to get to it would be to unbolt the entire unit or go in through the drivers side wheel well. Anyone else ever clean their filter and how did you do it?

On another note, and I know it should be in a different section of the forums, but the only issue I had with the car when i brought it in was the driver's side headrest wouldn't stay down! It keeps popping up on its own which is annoying because it creates a blind spot when reversing. Anyway, the dealership told me that it is a design flaw in all Mazda 6's and that there is no fix!! Has anyone else experienced this "defect" and are they just blowing smoke up my *** that it can't be fixed?

Thanks...

Now I know for sure this car is'nt haunted, because my headrest also keeps poping up.

Thats that JDM headrest feature!!

I'm tall so my head rest is already up...may I'll put it down and see if it comes back up on it's own. Kinda freaky!
