fuel economy with a/c

how much does fuel economy suffer with the a/c on, does anyone know?

maybe i've had some wierd ass tanks of gas, but when i use the a/c, i see little difference in mileage. some of my best mileage has come when the a/c was used.

i see very little difference.

i would wager there would be a greater loss in MPG with the windows open (from drag) than from the AC.

i've read somewhere that wind drag at 75 mph burns gas more than the a/c does.

exactly u actually gain mpg vs losing. the only thing you lose is a little hp.

therefore you have to rev a little higher to make it move

Well, you actually dont gain mileage by using the AC. It's better to run the ac on the freeway then open our loud ass windows/sunroof, but it'd be better still to run with neither.

I've noticed very little difference AC on or off. The biggest difference in any car is really the driving style.
