I cant believe my car has been broken into AGAIN... it wasn't 3 months ago that it happened in the same place. I must be a total fool to pay as much for the apartment I have, believing that payng this much to be in this nice of an area means s*** for safety.

Another side window broken $150, tint $35
silver trim fubar $???
Head Unit mounts fubar $???
Rain into my pristine car $???
lask of piece of mind and zero sleep $???

if it wasn't so damned hard to remove Kenwood head units they would of made off with it. its foiled them twice now, yo think they would just give up.

they pryed on the CD player against the silver trim gouging it pretty badly, and ******* up the cd player mounts. I have to dissasemble to today to figure out the total damage.

I am just so pissed at my apartment complex's so called security procedures. ******* gates and drive around security my ass.

Sorry to hear about that.....same s*** almost happened to me. Ive had my alarm for over 2 years now, and it went off on its own this morning around 4:30 for the first time......i was out that door so freakin fast with a Louisville Slugger ready to pound someone, but there was noone to be found......except for a coat hanger stuck in the drivers side window. It must have been some punk kid, what the **** was he gonna do with that little piece of s*** anyway? Bastards!

This sucks, cause now i really have to be on the look-out

I feel ya...it happened to me on last week, but they got my kenwood...still left me with a scratched up center cluster, steering wheel, door panel, and no driver's side window which also had tint...thieves sux ass!

well, my cd player is ****** up... the cd mechanism is broken, so I just removed it. and the bezel is ******. the cd player sleeve is shot to hell. I'm ******* so tired of asshole people wanting s*** the easy way, instead of having to work for it.

I REALLY REALLY want a Compustar, but I will have to wait cause of the HU replacement is going to be my all in-dash carputer that I want to build. so I upgraded to horn to a louder one. I got a Fiamm Trumpet air horn at the suggestion of Patrick (Linuxracr) and I have to say that this thing is twice as loud as the tiny ass stocker. I just hope people leave my s*** alone.

I'm going to try to bail on my lease with-out penalty due to this being the 2nd time Ive been broken into in 6 months in this "safe" gated apartment complex.

ahh, you took the louder horn, I was actually going to suggest that, cept, I was gonna suggest the horn I'm getting...it a horn used on trains, made with mounting brackets for cars. It universal, and loud as a train....I think it will be sweet when my neighbor tries to break in again,,,,not only will it deter theft, but scare all of the theives bodily fluids out of them...lol. Seriously,. I am getting a train horn. My neighbor got into my P5 when I had it, took my shifter knob, and a few burnt CD's, it was nothing, but when I saw him selling the stuff at school, I wanted to beat the **** outta him, but didn't, just told him if he did it again, he'd be in big trouble....first day I had the speed home, he tried, alarm went off, caught him running away...wutever, he didn;t get anything......it just keeps happening, everytime I lock the car, but don't beep the horn, he tries to get in, everytime the horn...so, I want to get the loud horn, and scare the ****, and then go out, after about 15 tries, and just take a baseball bat and whack him in the knee, thats it, then if it happens again, I do the next knee, and work up his body to his head...cause he doesn't seem to learn...I HAVE AN ALARM, its always armed....so, yeah, my story...sorry for the thread jack....really sorry to hear about you car man.

Why don't you get an alarm that has a two way pager. I have one from audiovox. When the car alarm goes off, the pager goes off. Twice people got into my car and although they disengaged the alarm within a minute I guess, it was enough time for me to get out there and scare them away with no real damage.

$$$$ is an issue

and Victor the trim is gouged pretty bad... I can still use it when it comes carputer time... bondo can fix it casue its not actually broken its just REALLY badly scratched. now the cdplayer mount ans sleeve are thuroughly thrashed, and I'll never again beable to mount a normal CD player without massive modifications. but I planned on going carputer anyways... its just gonna take a long time to save up the moolah unless I get the $8,000 raise I was promised soon.

yeah....some douchebag just tried to break into mine in my driveway, alarm went off (audiovox prestige platinum) wlaked outside to reset it and some guy took off down the street, luckily my neighbor is ocpd and hes gonna keep and eye on it tonight. ******* thieves (argh)
