Do these only work with the MP3/MSP style radio set up? I have that cheesy POS adapter thing I got from Crutchfield when I got my new deck.

You can remove that crap adapter (they are all so crappy) and just mount your radio on the lower half of the hole.. then clip the gauge holder on top. The only way to do it with the gauges on the bottom would be to buy the MSP/MP3 "radio bar" (almost always sold with the radio pocket, I doubt you can get it separately from Mazda) and make sure you have the stud with the rubber bushing thing attached to the back of your aftermarket radio. The rubber bushing sits nice and tight in the square holes on the bar in the back of the radio hole, supporting the weight of the radio in the rear (the bar holding up the weight in the front).
