2010 MazdaSpeed3
I just picked up my new MS3 and I'm already looking to go with a new wheel and tire combo. I have a little over 400 miles on these. I am a newbie with shipping anything like this so I'm not 100% sure how much it would cost or anything like that. I live in Moline, IL if anyone would be interested in a pick-up deal. Tirerack.com sells the Dunlop tires for $195/ea. and they are on back order. I am going to start by asking $1400/OBO + shipping. I will probably list them on ebay before too long but I figured I might have better luck amongst the Mazda community. Send me a message if you are interested.

Think you could just part with the rims and not tires? Just speculating. Gimme a price please. Also I can do local pick up probably.

Yes, I would be willing to part out just the wheels but I am hoping to find someone who will take both that way I do not have spare tires sitting around...especially because I am looking to go with 17s instead of 18s. Those tires won't do me any good.

Want to make sure everyone knows that the 10' model year speed has different sized rims/tires. Pretty sure they'll still fit, just know that they are 225 40 18 instead of 215 45 18... That's all, happy selling. I think they look cooler then the previous gen

The 2010 rims are 18 x 7.5" instead of 18 x 7". Same offset at 52.5mm.

Pics per edmunds:

you will definitely make out better separating the wheels from the tires, as long as you dont have to ship both separately. these are so hawt, i would love to pick them up if i had the funds.

Looks like we are getting close to a deal here. The tires do have 500 miles on them right now. I do not have much feedback to provide on the wheels but I can say that they provided better than expected grip in the rain. Whereas even brand new Kuhmo Ecsta ASX (195/50/15 on the Honda Fit) seemed to slide, these tires didn't even flinch. It is of course a completely different car, but i'm just trying to provide a little input.

How does $250/wheel sound (excluding tpms) + shipping (doing a pick up, I might be able to meet you part way depending on the day)?

I am also thinking $160/tire + shipping?

How does that sound with you guys?

Not really...tirerack sells the tires for $195 each. The cheapest 18" wheels are $235 each. It all depends on your taste, but personally, I think the stock wheels on the 2010 are pretty darn nice looking. The only reason I am selling the 18"s and wanting to go with 17"s is to add some profile to the tires and improve the ride quality a bit since the roads in my area are not the smoothest. If I sold the wheels and tires together, they already come mounted and balanced. I would say that price is a fair negotiating start point.

Seriously I don't want to sound like an ass but that's way too much in a couple months people are going to sell those wheels for no more than $150 each

What makes you think I wouldn't sell these for $150 each right now? You always price it higher and then go lower. If I said I'd take $150 for them and someone was willing to to pay $170, I lose out on money. So, as I previously said, it is a STARTING point. If someone is interested, they can make their offer and if I think it is fair, I will sell.

I'm not sure who gives away wheels, personally, I'm more into the reduce, reuse, recycle...I could probably make it into a big flower pot, foot rest, dog bowl, hood ornament, or countless other uses for spare wheels....not sure I'd be giving it away....maybe as a gift? Heck, I could give a wheel to four different people as a Christmas present....you might be on to something....

enough price BSing... he said he's taking offers... so either make an offer, or don't. doesn't sound like he's gonna flame you for lowballing his price, but if you lowball chances are he'll get an offer above yours.

What are you looking to pick up for 17's?

I was thinking some Koseis. Not sure if I really like the style of them but the ones that I really like happen to be about $800 per wheel....that's more money than I spent on my cloud insurance....
