Front brake pads rubbing....need to be greased??

So a while back I purchase 1 set each of Satisfied Pro front and rear OEM pads for my P5, as seen here:

About a week after I have a shop install the pads on the front and rears, I notice a slight rubbing, almost a grinding sound when I come to a slow steady stop.

I took the car to Firestone to get a second opinion on the job that the other shop did, and they did a full inspection. They said everything was fine, except that my front pads seemed really dry, and needed to be lubricated, and it would most likely fix the rubbing/grinding sound issue. He suggested I take it back to the place I got them done, and have the lube the pads, and it should be fine. He said he'd do it for me on the spot, but it would cost about $80.

So I go back to the place that did the job originally, tell them what Firestone told me about the pads needing to be lubed, and the guy tells me that the pads that "they" install don't need to be lubricated, and they always work fine. I then ask him if he could lube my pads since they obviously need it, and he tells me that they don't even have any kind of substance like that at their shop to lube brakes, because their brakes they put on cars don't need it.

Next time I'm definitely going ceramics all the way around, but for now, do you guys who DON'T use ceramics have this problem? Or does this sound like a weird issue that's not too common?

See page 17 here

for the parts that are supposed to be lubricated. Print the page, have the Firestone guy who knows what he's doing mark the places he's talking about and then take it back to the first guy and have him do it right.

Also, don't ever go back to the first guy.
