FREE!!!! ????????????????- Pay it Forward (READ POST #1 FIRST!)

In keeping with the generous spirit of ghetto waggon's original thread, here is version II.

For the new people to the thread: What we are trying to accomplish here is a place to come and get an item for free (or shipping cost) and in turn you offer up something in equal value to the community. This is not a TRADE thread. If you want what is up for grabs then you claim that and put up what you have up for grabs.

Version I was getting a little cluttered and confusing. Here is what we are going to keep as "rules" for this thread.

Rule updates made by: evilmonkeyMSP

- Only one offering at a time can be available. (if you have tons of things you would like to give away regardless of taking what is available, by all means, start your own thread :) ) If more than one item is posted I (evilmonkeyMSP) will delete the post and PM the member to hold off.

- No "dibs" to search for something to put up. The first person with something to offer up in exchange gets the current item up and cannot back out once they have taken the previous item (especially if that item has already been shipped to them)

- A picture of the item would be nice but a proper forum pic will only be required if money is exchanging hands (ie: Shipping).

- If an item does not go after 1 full week it will be taken off and someone else can offer something new.

- The next item offered cannot be put up/taken until the previous offer is confirmed to be going to the person who requested it.

For example: Poster #1 puts up spark plugs and poster # 2 wants them and in turn offers up a mazda shirt in turn. Until Poster #1 aknowledges that Poster #2 is getting the spark plugs Poster #2's item cannot be taken.

- The item replacing an item that is being taken should be relatively equal in value. If you need to offer multiple items to replace the one you are taking, this can be done. No trading a turbo in exchange for a mazda pen (evil).

This is hopefully to help keep things less confusing.

We want to keep this going for as long as possible. I will try and monitor the thread as much as possible, and evilmonkeyMSP will moderate as needed.

Current Item up for grabs:

Sorry guys, it was my wife's birthday yesterday so it was a busy weekend. Yes, the head unit is now up for grabs. It plays MP3's, CD-R's, and regular CD's. Not sure if it only plays specific formats, but I didn't have any problems with songs for the few weeks that I used it. It is NOT satellite ready. This unit will plug right into the stock Mazda protege wiring harness. It may plug into others, I don't know. You may need to get an antenna extender cable, which can be purchased from any install shop for just a few bucks.

Also as I stated before, it was in perfect working condition when I had my other deck installed and it's just sat in the garage since. The thing black plastic piece that surrounds the face after install is missing, I never had it. That's the only thing wrong with it.

Hey guys, mgs_freak to let you know I am working on getting all my documents off your computer and setting it back to factory settings. I still have not got paid yet (nailbyt). I am now doing my work as a private contractor and unfortunately I don't get paid till the clients pay the bill which is usally once a month. So I will try and get that out to you ASAP.

Willkill, I got your rotors last week. Thanks a ton. I was wondering will these fit on the front or are the specifically made for the rear? I am not sure if there is a difference between the front and rear rotors on the P5. Let me know. Thanks, Dan

if they're made for the rear, thats the only place they'll fit.

Yes, front rotors are vented and much wider, rear rotors are not vented and much thinner. They're listed as rear for a reason. Technically, they'll bolt up to the front, however, your braking will degrade IMMENSELY, and you also run the risk of the piston in your caliper extending past its functional range. Thereby, you lose ALL of your braking ability. For the safety and concern of yourself and others around you, please do NOT put those rotors in the front.

Thanks, and like I said in post #963 (read if you haven't yet) I will get your computer out as soon as I can. Thanks, Dan

Better pics ftw?

Does the mp3 HU have the nifty automatic flip down face (push button automation)? or is it manual (push and kerplunk it drops...yuck)?

r u looking for front rotors?

if you guys feel the deal is legit, i say go for it

If anyone objects, they can put something up themselves in place?

yeah, we dont need my say :) If they seem like a good deal then go for it...now if he was trying to put up a pack of air freshners for the HU that might seem a bit problematic lol

Okay, I just REALLY wasn't sure if MP3 springs were worth anything.

I'm still waiting for the laptop from mazdaspeed777, so when we hear from him that it's on the way (or close to) I'll get info for sending out the head unit. So right now, mp3-79bronco has dibs with springs up for grabs.
