FREE MPI help!

ok... quick instructions on how to change your port on your laptop ( this is assuming that you have installed the drivers for the rs232 or whatever it is properly called., and are using vista. ) anyhow... after you install the drivers for your usb cable. click start.. then control panel.. once that opens.. click system, when that window opens there should be a side bar on the left hand side and the TOP choice, it should say... device manager.. click that... then when it appears.. click ports.. and you should se something that says advanced... then select a port.. ( these are jsut a general idea not exact)
 
Hello all I am in the process of boostin my mp3. I just need ems. Lookin to see if anyone has any Mpi tuners for sale.
 
ok so i'm tryna get the sw onto my friends laptop and i install everything as directed but, everytime i go to run the sw this security lock screen comes up. that says insert a security lock disk into drive a: sooooo can some one tell me what i'm missin cuz i can't for the life of me figure it out

you need to download the security key and place it in the MPI folder
 
So i'm just addin the key file into the mpi file under program files is that right? sorry if i'm comin off retarded i'm not lol

Never got the chance to get it on a dyno... was waiting for new mani/downpipe setup.. but now she won't start up i have a thread in the 3rd gen performance general section so far nothin. i wud link u but i'm on my cell

no fuel or fire

I have a 1994 626 v6 automatic car . something is shutting off the fuel and fire at the same time . ecm and distributor both replaced without change. what could cause this ? this is an intermitten problem when it runs it runs great . you can kill it and it will start right back up no problem . if it sits for an hour or so it will not start maybe for a day maybe a week you never know. an obd scanner will NOT communicate with the car. if this is the wrong thread to ask this question would you please point me to the right one .

Wrong thread...but it looks to me that you have a grounding problem, check all fuse connections are also ok and their grounds ok.

If its automatic, it could be a sensor in the transmission sending a false signal.

hey guys, i didnt want to read all of the pages on this thread, sorry if this is repetitive at all but i havent been on here regularly in a year or so. a few ??? i am planning on purchasing an mpi tuner with turbo module. it is my dd, gonna run about 8-10psi after i get my fmic and exhaust..
anyways here i go...

what all is needed to make the mpi setup work? do i need to do it the kooldino way at such low psi/mods?

well, actually i guess thats really my only question right now, lol. thanks guys, and sorry again if this has been covered a ton of times on here i just didnt have time to read all the pages
 
IMHO, buyin a piggyback wud jist be a waste of money. ur MSP ecu will well compensate for 9-10psi n since its ur daily driver i doubt u'd b running it that hard often. so i mean it wudnt need tuning really and i mean u cud do it jist to b safe but i've done 9-10psi ona stock ecu wit no problems. but if ur plannin on goin over 10-11psi def get one. jist my $.02
 
so i'm tryna upload the program to my new laptop with windows7 and i put the security key in the mpi folder but the program still wont grant access. does anyone know whats up wit that
 
lol.. whats your email... ill send you all my files... i threw my mpi tuner and turbo mod in a box... i cant find anyone to buy it... eventually im just gonna melt it or something.. its useless to me.. but ill send you all the bulls*** i have for it.. ( software wise..) and is your windows in compatibility mode?

my email is george.cordova@yahoo.com how do you change it to compatibility mode?? not real sure about that but all other programs and what not ive gotten all worked and the program worked on my bois laptop wit windows 98 so idk??? but yeah email me what you got that wud be awesome.
 
ok got the compatibility to work and the program will run however it keeps sayin security lock needs to b loaded on drive A...... n i did copy the security key into the mpi file under programs so what am i missin now????
