forged wastegate adjustment

ok so i got my car and it has a forged wastegate on it and the car is not boost correctly... i kno it didnt fail bcuz if it did it would only boost 5psi and it actually boosts way too high to like 18psi and hits fuel cut... so if someone could help me with an idea on how to adjust this i could use the info... thnx

you will have to take it off and just turn the bolt tighter.the forge may have gone bad tho. firs blow into the wastegate line line and if u can blow air through it,u need a new one.

with a torn diaphragm (i.e. failed wastegate actuator), you will overboost.



my oem diaphragm tore and i spiked to like 19 psi.

You need to open it and see what spring is in it.

theres a 5lbs spring in it... and i have a feeling that mine did fail... in that case cant i just get a rebuild kit for the wastegate or would it be cheeper to get a new one?
