Hey guys I need to get some info on a few parts I might want to get installed while my car is ripped apart at the dealer.I would like to know who makes forged pistons and rods for the 2.0L motor as well as lightened flywheels?I will probably be adding these while the car is apart so any info you guy's can provide me with would be greatly appreciated!I am also gonna do the cam swap (most likely)but i think i'll do this after i get the car back. The only other question that I have is does anyone make lower compression pistons that are forged for the 2.0L?

HMMMM....Mean car in the making???
Thanx,Matt:cool:

there is only one guy you need to talk to. call puter rods at 619 422 5384 ask for brian
he will take care of rods and pistons for you.
:D
someone else hear can help you with the flywheel. im sticking with stock

call carillo rods. they make some awesome stuff. pauter rods are kickass too. also indigo, i think, makes flywheels. fidenza is the most used on the board.

damn spelling i meant PAUTER
and the pistons he uses are made by JE
he will extend you the same proffesional rate he pays for them if you order rods:D

force fed if you took your car to a dealer they shouldn't be able to put any forged parts into your engine cause you should be getting a whole assembled engine under warranty

God you are so negative RX-kevin! DO YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING THAT GOES ON!YOU ALWAYS HAVE AN ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING! How many dealers do you know installing Spool turbo's on Brand new protege's????? Bet your dealership isn't doing it is it??? I thought not !So me and the service manager had a little talk about all my options and one option they might have to go with would be ordering all the pieces individually and in the case of that happening I might be upgrading some of my internals while it's apart!THANK YOU VERY MUCH! You seem to go to everyones thread and put in a lot of input that people didn't ask for!I didnt ask"What should Mazda be doing to my car!" did I? No, I asked "does anyone have some info on forged internals and flywheels?" So if your not going to help please Keep your should be's to yourself.THANK YOU ! To all the guys that helped me with some info,THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Go to the MP3 section and click on the MP3 aftermarket guide. It has alot or parts for our engines, although I haven't added the forged pistons and rods in there yet.

Much THANX to all the guys giving me info! I appreciate it much!
