Protege Garage has an upgraded Forge wastegate for sale...wondering if anyone here has that piece or has heard any good/bad things about it?

Also, what would be necessary to run an external wastegate on the MS3?

if you want to run an external WG you need to close the WG flapper on the turbo so the internal WG is no more, get a manifold that has a provision for a EWG, get an EWG, fab a screamer pipe to dump from the EWG either into your exhaust or out under the car, hook it all up and have the correct spring in the WG so it will control boost properly. The forge WG actuator is not a wastegate or an EWG. it's just a way to control the stock WG I am pretty sure.

The forge wga kicks ass! It makes a huge difference in spool up. It made as big of difference as going to catless DP.

As for springs.... You can go yellow or blue depending on your boost control method. If you use a MBC like me or just dont like boos spikes you will want to go with yellow. The blue willgive a huge spike if used with a MBC. On the other hand if you run the stock boost system (even if controlled by an AP or piggyback) you may want to bump up to the blue. It will give a spike still, but not like it does with a MBC car. The spike actually give the car a nive kick in the ass and then the boost system holds your target boost. I suggest starting with yellow on a fairly loose preload setting and tightening it up in small incriments until it feels right. If yellow doesnt cut it, bump it to blue and do the same thing.

I DID THE TESTING ON THESE AND HAVE AN EXTRA ONE THAT I AM WILLING TO SELL. I was saving it for my buddy with a cx7 but now he doesnt want it. It was used for a week just to test it out. I will include both the yellow and blue springs as well. $150 gets it SHIPPED to the first bidder !!

If you want to sell, please put it in the FS section with proper pictures. Thanks!
