how do you change the springs on these things? i got mine used and the guy told me it has the blue spring in and one shim, so i been running it like that for a while now. However, now i want to put another shim in , and i cant twist of the cap.. i was actually twisting so hard i broke the flange loose and now the flange moves around a bit.. you guys think its still drivable though??

the flange is adjustable IIRC. those two divots under neath is how its tighten, but how one does that i dunno.

i wouldnt drive it till its corrected. thats s*** gotta be air tight. try heatin it up slightly (SLIGHTLY!), and then twisting off the cap. theres info on here about how to tighten the flange you just have to search.

yea the flange is still connected , i can just move it around in circles. i put it back on the car and i seems drivable, but i still want to open the thing up to change the spring.. do you have a picture of how it looks opened up? heating what up btw?

well i was just thinkin you how when you cant get a jar of spaghetti sauce open you run it under some hot water, well things expand when they are hot so if you heat the lid ( where the thread are) maybe it'll open.

otherwise just keep twistin i guess. find some meat head to give it a try (lol)
