rockin the awd.....
After finding out that a bov is gonna throw me into a high autox classification i was thinkin if i got the forge bov ...how hard would it be to swap back and forth between the stock bpv and the forge unit several of u guys are using?? let me know asap...im orderin it today :)

It's pretty easy. Just be careful of the upper IC pipe busting, I'm sure you are aware of that already. If I can ever get to a meet, I'd take you for a ride or just drive by so you can hear the thing, its sweet though.

I might do the same thing. No stalling issues with the forge bov, correct? I don't wanna get put into SM for a BOV lol. This'll just add to my list of things to swap and do the night before an autox lol. I need a garage :(.

yeh im talkin with ngp shocker....i gotta call scott to see if he can order me one of them.....i forgot the model but whe i said a guy had already come in and got one they remebered u lol...so hopefully i can get it this weekend

I dont have any stalling issues. I have read that some others seem to stall if they are at a higher rpm and shift into neutral. I love this thing plus It eliminated my turkey

Why does a different BOV bump you up a class? I don't see how it would give you an advantage / performance increase.

Yeah, it's lame, but it puts you into Street Mod, which is where highly modded WRX's (e.g. 300HP @ wheels lol) and Turbo Miata's go. So unless I can switch it back and forth easily, no BOV for me.

oh yeah, it is definately easy to switch out. I do it everytime I go to Mazda. The hardest thing is those dame clips on the BPV connection, not the ones on the intercooler pipe connection.

Nice, Scotts a good guy. Lets invade their VW world with Mazda specific parts requests!! I got mine so early that it is the original one with the nipple for the vaccum hose onthe top, not the side. Check out pics at http://www.shocker.50megs.com. Site isn't near done but I got some of my pics up, and then more once I get my springs on Monday. <<Threadjack off>>

As far as I know, the design you have is the one they decided to go with. Kelvin is the only person I know of who got the BOV with the flange on the side.

I've only stalled once with the Forge BOV. The only issues I have are when I'm sitting at idle & rev above 2k & then go back to neutral. The throttle will then dip down, but it comes right back up. I've never had any problems with revving high or while moving more than 5mph. Basically, you just learn to drive around it & then it rarely happens. All signs of the turkey are completely gone on my car as well. As for the auto-x thing, I noticed a definite increase in throttle response, so maybe that's the reason for the class change.

I can answer any other ?s you have regarding the Forge BOV. BTW, I can change back to stock in 5 min or less (done it like 10x). :D

Shocker, that GTI is bad ass, but it would look better with gunmetal/black wheels. (thumb)

So can you go back to 100% stock? Including all hoses and connectors etc? I have to go back to how it came straight from the factory. Thanks.

I've been telling him that for a while, but to each their own. It's ok though, this summer it's getting a t3/t04 turbo put on(2thumbs) so he's not too worried about looks.

That's what I meant when I said 5 minutes.
