Well I had my Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control book out so I picked it up to read it and came across a Engine Control system for fords EEC IV and it plugs in the EEC IV wiring Harness. Well this book is old and is for 88 - 93 vehicles. Well since we have a EEC V ecu if they make one for the EEC V it would probally work on our cars. It might be worth persuing ford to see if they make one for the EEC V. The book is Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control book by Robert Bentley publishers and I originally had it for my 89 probes. It had ecu pin layout for the ecu. It has alot of good info about mecs and alot of other info since their are fors with mazda engines. It actually helped me understand how our car fire to two cylinders at one time after a MAzda Tech told me they do. It is kind of like corkys book on boost has alot of good info on general engine running. Check it out.

Peace

ive checked into some new literature about our cars
they dont have any thing yet on them to share really thats any thing new than the factory manual
i dont know if they are called that any more
both mazda and ford call them powertrain control modules(PCM)
