where did you place the side lights because there is no space anywhere near the doors? do u have a underneath picture of a p5?

if you reach under the car and feel around, once you get past the sideskirt there is a place where it would probably work.

I say why bother.. you can only legally have them on when the car isn't moving anyway.

true, the tech guy said thats the general concensus, but he said he could work around that fact ;) besides mines with remote, so its gonna be directly connected to the battery so i could have em on or off whenever ;) ok i'll try ur idea about feeling around

i mounted mine just on the other side of the thin ridge that sticks down so they are hidden. but i also have a full kit so it comes down lower to hide them also.

sounds interesting what u did, i might do that then, check pm

you can have them on when your driving i do it all the time. my mom is a judge i asked her, the ruling is this: no red or blue, no flashing or blinking(only when parked) and no neons even with your front lights.

I have red ones and I go to car shows in just about every state in the northeast and never get pulled over. I even have the ones for the winshield
squirters that are red on. Maybe I just get lucky everytime cops see my lights on.

but mines are blue due to the cars color factor, can i have it on if its not blinking?

nope.. no blue at all. if you want to get technical, no red in the front, no white in the back, etc. there's no way to make it look "good" and at the same time keep it legal. If it's for show, who cares if you can't have it on while driving.

crap, so all i can do is turn it on while parked..i have a feeling it cant resemble cop car, thats why no blue red or white visible light

I mounted mine in a little.

not only that, but it's INCREDIBLY distracting for other drivers if it is any color other than red in the rear or white/amber in the front. It's a safety issue all around, hence the laws/regulations.

If you're doing it for the show aspect, who cares if you can only have it on when parked?

Actually there are certain colors that are legal as far as oklahoma law is concerned anyways. Purple, amber, white, and green are allowed at any time in oklahoma. Most of the time the only ones you'll get pulled over for are red and blue due to law enforcement.

purple and amber?? wow that's an incredibly distraction and safety hazard.. I'd steer clear of anyone driving with those colors on, it can only cause problems :P

many cars have amber running lights, and i really do hate all this distraction bulls***, if that were true everyone would be driving the same car and itd be s*** brown. Underglows are no more of a distraction to a responsible driver at night than a red car is to one during the day.

Anyone know the laws in Maryland (or where I can find them)? I'm putting whites on mine and want to know the laws on driving with them on or what. I have white LEDs in the hood and drive with them on all the time, no trouble with the cops unless they think its blue. As soon as they see its white, they send me on my way. Just wondering about the neons though. I mean, I'm putting them on either way, but just wondering if I can drive with them or not as long as they're hidden under the body kit. Thanks guys.

Now that's just all sorts of wrong. A red car during the day.. there are red things in nature, and plus during the day we are surrounded by different colors all the time, bright ones too.

At night.. it's very, very dark. The regulations are pretty strict about reflector color, light colors, etc for a reason. Headlights must be white (selective yellow lights are included in the range of allowable "white" colors), taillights red, turn signals orange.. and in most places, other colors aren't allowed.

If all of a sudden a car a decent distance in front of you on the highway turned on some bright white underglows, you might think there's a car coming right at you.

Any car driving around with underglow neons on is instantly a ricer. If the car is parked, it's totally fine. Of course this is all just IMO. That being said, I wouldn't mind a couple white neons up under my dash to light the footwells wired so that they turn on when the doors are open on the car.. that would be fun.

imho you mounted them too far to the center of the car. they should have been mounted behind the ridge (narrow frame rail) closer to the sides of the car. that's where mine were mounted

btw, i drove with my neons on (yellow) every night for 3 years. also through georgia and north carolina a couple of times. i was only pulled over once in my own city but the judge threw out the ticket.

Does anyone have pictures of theirs? I want to see what they look like before I go and purchase some! Thanks
