Foglight Covers: Phase One

is anyone here still up? ive almost got everything patched up but i need to take another pic and ask someones opinion on the fitment...

I'll be up for a little while too... good idea, first time I have seen this thread.(thumb)

With this pic im trying to illustrate the angle of the cover to the ground. In this position, it angles up into the car. If i were to pivot it out , by the top arrow, and have the bottom corner rest where the bottom arrow ends, the angle of the cover to the ground will be more perpendicular, but im not sure if it will flow well with the lines of the car...

With these next three pics, im trying to illustrate the angle of the bottom of the cover. It follows the line of the foglight "recess". If you go look at the front end, im pretty sure that "line" slants down.

Either way, do you guys think it looks bad? I personally think it looks fine how it is now but if you guys disagree I guess now is the time to let me know.

Damn. almost 4 AM. EFF YOU OFFICE JOB IN 5 HOURS :(

The damn WRX's have it so easy because their hole is more round and ours is more of a stupid rectangle...but to make it even gayer, it ramps up to meet the bumper.

hard to tell with the new bondo, but a slight curve to it would look good rather than so flat. i think.

if you are talking about the flatness of the face surface, i agree. i want the edges to be curved. if thats what you are talking about.

i'll continue on building it up as if mounted in this position. (i just wish i had an extra bumper in my basement so i wouldnt have to keep running out to the car to check fitment. Either that, or maybe i should be doing this in my garage with the car in the driveway....now THATS an idea...too bad the garage is filled with CRAP. and now im just rambling on about s*** no one cares about. damn this 4am, damn it. sorry.)

thanks for the comment.

Looks pretty sweet from what I can see...

Not too sure 'cause of the darkness/dark car action you've got goingon, but it looks as though it's possibly "protruding" from the hole a bit? does that make sense? I know clearance is kind of tight, but could you possibly get it to sink in a bit more??

And, yea, I think everyone needs to help start enforcing dex's bedtime. I say no later than 2am. And for god's sake, someone take the mtn dew from him, eH???

Yeah, overall, its supposed to protrude a tad bit. Making it flush mount would mean it would have to be pretty flat, and i personally want it curved.

Sorry about the night pics, its when i do my best (only) work though :p

thats the look im trying to go for.but the radically different shapes of the holes between the cars makes it a tad bit harder than that :p

Ohyea, I kinda forgot that one *L* actually along those lines, it's looking sweet. I'm just confused, and high contrast fo the pics made it weied for me trying to visualize... y'kno it's even past bedtime over here (2:30am)
