Fog lights

I am a big Suby fan and love the WRC rally look. I like how lots of Suby guys down here have there fog lamps in yellow.

What do you guys think about this?

I already have the rally tarmac wheels on my car in bronze.

Is it a pain in the ass to change the bulbs to yellow ones? Does anybody know of good brands? Also on www.i-club.com they were saying about a yellow spray film that are sold at hobby shops that you can spray on the fog lenses.......does anyone have experience with this? I know its like 6 beans for the can.

I've have yellow H3 Catz in mine. They look damn good if you ask me.

I'm using the PIAA Ion Crystal in mine I like them, and they are pretty bright ppl like to Flash at me once in a while

Yeah

Hy Terry sorry i didn't see this earlier but before i could drive i was a RC car freak and paint from the hobby store is good stuff. If u look at the bottle/can it will say either transparent or ghost... best used as a first coat then backed with a white or black but thats for panting rc car bodies so u could just use the tranparent paint and use a few coats on the inside of the light housing and i imagine it would give a nice yellow tent to ur lights. Sorry if i am too late but if not hope that is a helper.
Peace ,
Zane

thats what i want too!! ive been wanting to make the foglights yellow..... but im not sure if using those film tints is better or spraying it with model paint..... OR just using a good yellow set of bulbs......

hey spoolin can you post up your results after you are finnished with the job? because i want to do the exact same thing! Thanks:D

Spoolin : just on more thing to keep in mind before you start on this, would the model paint hold up to the heat from the foglights?

Hey

Hey Initial33,
That paint will hold up to any lite heat u can throw at it because rc car engines ran between 250-300 degrees F. So if it can stand to that plus being run into curbs(i.e. or other cars) and what not then it can stand up to some good lite heat. Just make sure to give it two to three good coats with like six hours between coats and u will have a beautiful tinted lite. After the second or therd coat make sure to let dry over night.
Peace,
Zane

6 hrs btw each coat?!

Yeah

Its a long time i know but for best setting u have to do it. I dunno it would probably be fine if it set for at least a few hours. I am just use to doing paint right. If u have like a two day period like sat-sun, do it then and u will have a yellow foglights forever and a yellow lense that looks like it was profesionally done.
Peace,

I donno about you guys but why don't you go to your nearest hook up shop and buy a pair of H3 light bulbs (same as the ones in your fog light now) that are yellow for 69 bucks. it's will look a whole lot better then spray painting your existing stock lights. thats is my opinion.
