Focus Transmission

I'm pretty sure that this has been discussed before, but I've searched so please direct.
Does anyone know if the Focus transmission will work for our Protege's? Or vice-versa? Like will it just bolt in? I've heard it's got different gearing, and I've also heard it's a MTX-75, so that's why I was wondering because I can get one for mega cheap.

For the autos, they are VERY similar. Direct bolt in similar? Not sure.

hmmm. well, that's good to know. i'll probably just test fit one up to be sure for myself. i thought that the Zetec's were just FS's with VVT. maybe i'm wrong.
