is your turbo jetcoated blue like that or powdercoated? i used like 1600 degree paint and burnt it off in 10 minutes on the exhaust side.......

It's white now because of the rebuild... but I didn't bother to do the exaust side, I'm just happy that it isn't rusted...

ok, same thing happened to me, so when i got my new turbo i havent even painted it yet, i am just going to get a heat shield to cover it

The cold side is good to go, paint it with hight temp and cook it on in your oven...

When you wash your car and are cleaning, put some armor all on some paper towel and wipe it on the hot side. It will prevent the rust.

i know, i learned that at car shows, when you cover it it cleans up the rust.....
and i think i am too lazy to paint the turbo again...... a nicely made heat shield will do me fine

There was so much room that I could have written out the Phone Book on it, I decided to keep it simple with some regular Flat Black Paint...
can u take the grill out and take a picture like that ?

Hate to bring back an old thread . but has anyone sprayed Spearco on theres at all, or would be willing to make a stencil (of link) thanks ?

ps. just ordered my HiBoost kit 2 minutes ago !! wooo

If it isn't a Spearco, then don't paint it you poseur... If it is it will come with the stencil... :(

well I read somewhere that the HiBoost kit used a Spearco core ???
and I am def not tryin to be a poseur

Sorry about that...

There is a Douch here who sprayed Spearco on the lower part of his RADIATOR on a bone stock Cavalier here...

I have issues with him, just brought up bad memories...

HiBoost does not come with a stencil, at least mine did not. I think I am going to put HiBoost on mine....assuming it fits vertically. The bumper/lip covers a bit of the IC bottom.

Here is a bit of photoshop work....
Damn am I going to miss those HID's :(
