FMIC for BEGI

I was wondering where can i get a full FMIC for my BEGI kit? I really want something that is more agressive looking. I just dont like the way the side mount intercooler looks. Something like a Spearco, greddy..

they do offer an FMIC upgrade, I'm still working with them to find out a price on it. Flyin Miata was selling it for $800

I was going to have my sponsor build me one but it's a bit more pricey than I'd like. I don't think FM is selling this upgrade anymore. Is Corky selling them now? If so what's the price?

I thought FM had a little sail going on for a few more kits using the intercooler mentioned here.

I was thinking about adapting one of the larger intercoolers from the Miata turbo set ups and doing up new charge pipes...

Ken at Flyin Protege told me that it realy does not improve the performance of the kit all the much since the one it came with is such an efficient design, its mostly for looks and it keeps your pipes from scraping

Yeah it won't increase any performance it's mainly cosmetice BUT having the pipes come out of the sides is a lot more desireable. My charger pipes are toasted on the bottoms.

Ditto...Performance dents and a little rust where the coating has been performancely removed.

I wonder if it flows better with the "desturbance" in the bends?


I still love it though. The whole kit is still really cool. But like I say, the look of that big FMIV intercooler makes my pants swell.

Totally... Thje big Horizontal IC just looks sick. We should take pics of our performance dents ahaha. Mine are really bad, like uber bad. I hit a speed bump while racing through a rundown shoppin center (the speed bump wasn't painted so it was nearly invisible) and it wrecked them up pretty bad.

I hope BEGI will sell this for a little less than FM was wanting for it.

The FMIC always looks cool.

Not hatin' but the prototype pictures, the intercooler could be positioned better (centered and in the grill rather than partially blocked by the bumper). Hopefully they've fixed that.

I know that I had to modify a bunch of crap on my Spool kit to get it to sit right in that lower girll, but it was all worth it!

Thats exactly why I asked Corky to build it for me. Especially if you are lowered.
