Fluid or Rubber Engine Mount Type?

Hello everybody,

I have a 2013 CX-5 That I recently got as a bit of a fixer-upper.
Its been really good so far, really easy to work on and a good commuter car.

However, I believe the engine mounts are going bad, and I would like to replace them.
But in doing so, I see a couple of engine mount-varieties.

From what I understand:
  • Passenger side engine mount (Top) is fluid-filled
  • Under Engine to Subframe (Dogbone) is solid
  • Transmission is also solid
Am I correct? I am asking this because I'm seeing conflicting information online and between aftermarket parts that say something different. (Yes ik, OEM is the way to go, but I would like to be informed before I make a decision. Plus, this is a budget fixer upper, really)

And are the AWD mounts different from the FWD mounts? Mazda parts seem to suggest so, but I can't understand what the difference is. Again, I'm mostly trying to be informed.

Your input would be greatly appreciated; thanks!
