Sometimes when I'm driving my car, usually at speeds below 40, the car will do this weird thing with the electrical. The motor will hesitate a little then pick back up and all of the lights will dim for a second, headlights, interior and all. Anyone else got this? Is it normal? Bad?

Halp!

I could of sworn mine does this too, but I dont remember if its when the a/c is on or not. If it was, then its the draw from the compressor kicking on.

Turn off the A/C, try this again. If it still does it, post up. I've got some ideas.

There are many problems with grounds that sound similar. I've seen times when the battery terminals are just slightly loose, and that would cause it too. There is most likely a loose ground here, I bet.

my lights dim when i roll up my windows....
brand new alternator and battery is fully charged.

i know the p5 has a weak electrical system, but window motors should not dim the lights.

yea mine does the same thing with the windows...

Ima go through and put in thicker grounding wires in hopes that that will help

Ditto on the windows. Looks like ground wires for meeeee.... When I get my new jooobbbbbb! lol I hate being poor. (pissed)

lol

its like 10 bucks dude

go down, get some thick gauge wire...hell, 12-14 gauge would do...even speaker wire is thicker than the stock ground wires

I dunno if anyone makes a proper ground kit, but if you get a spool of some thicker wire, and a package of round terminal style end pieces then you could piece together a set no problem...thats how Im gonna do mine

theres a how-to on here on that too if I recall
