So I recently bought a nice 1987 B2200 truck to replace my ailing 1991 626 car; sadly (or happily) the truck needs some work.

I finally got it running (anyone who saw my last post knows the problem) and after the carburetor was replaced it's up and moving now. I just have a small checklist of problems that need addressing and any advice the Mazda community can give would be much appreciated.

  • Bleed the brakes
  • Install rear bumper
  • Install 4 matching tires (P205/70/R14)
  • Fix turn signals
  • Replace battery
  • Replace missing/damaged hoses
  • New paint
  • Repair rust spots
  • Fix dent

Included are several pictures of under the hood and the body.

There are a few rust spots on the body, and there is a very slight dent above the driver's side front wheel well, but other than that it's in good shape.

As it moves along I will keep the community posted.

The body looks like it is decent shape in the pictures. The engine needs to have a few oil leaks plugged from what I can see in the under the hood shots.
