LOL I had no idea when I met you that this was your car. I was looking at it and was like damn this thing looks familiar lol.

Bwahaha that oil is MINE!! All MINE!! But it might have looked different since I had those rays on instead of the 2nd gen wheels. I have a bunch of updates for this thread but I'm too lazy to post them lol. I'll try to post by the end of the night.

So here's an update. Got an insane deal on track wheels and tires. 17x7 +50 Rays 57Motorsports G07WT's with Dunlop Direzza Star Specs. I was worried about them being too sunk in and needing spacers but they fit PERFECT. I completely forgot to take a picture with them on this weekend but you can see them in the dyno videos which I'll post soon. Yesterday I found another insane deal but this time on a winter setup. 17" Sport Edition (tirerack) wheels with Bridgestone Blizzaks in 215/50 size. Now I have summer, winter, and track wheel and tire setups.

Had an absolutely amazing time this weekend with all the folks who came out to Mid Ohio. Anyway, onto the pics and videos.

Rays!!!

Ivan, do me a favor and send this information to Josh @ CP-e...as we add more on to your car, we want to see the numbers.

that is a few sets of wheels in one garage, now all you need is the tools to change the tires on them.. car looks great with the rays.

ivan, nice meeting you! good numbers on the dyno my friend!! i'll be watching the build! i'm going to get some of those direzza's next season (15x9), bruce swears by them and my parada spec II's although very sticky are way to loud for everyday driving!

Just so you know Marc, the direzza's are also on the noisy side. But I will most likely use them again.

Hey, thanks for your stock BPV! I finally got around to swapping mine out and putting yours on. The car pulls strong like it used to a few months ago!!! I'm pretty sure my BPV was starting to leak, slowly but surely.

Thanks again!!!!

No problem man. I wonder what the car would pull on the dyno now that you have it installed. Glad to help you out. This might sounds really really lame but just pass the good juju on. I've had plenty of help from other people in the past few years so I'm trying to do the same to others. I feel like it's kind of part of being a Mazda owner.... Unless you're one of those MS3 owners. Those guys are just such douches :D

BTW, no more smoking turbo. That pill seemed to work. (2thumbs)

Ya I wish we had that dyno still. O well! It now sounds like it used to, a little louder and a more pronounced pshhh. Thanks again! I'll pass it on for sure...although I am a MS3 owner...so maybe not hahahaha

U haz turbo?? Haha

Wow I am terrible at updating this. Couple of things since the last update.

- Painted calipers black with Duplicolor caliper kit. The stuff looks amazing and I'm very impressed with it, especially for $19.99.
- Got some new side mirror stickers that I think are pretty unique. Evan calls me a ricer because of them but he can suck it :D
- 3 GTSpec pieces will be paid for in full at the end of the month and be on the car next spring.
- 4 point mid brace
- Rear V brace
- Link Reinforcement panel

I plan on buying some RallyArmor UR mudflaps in the next couple days purely for the winter. I noticed the other day how badly the tires kick stuff up onto the quarter panels and doors and I do not want that happening during the winter. I went back and forth between JBR, Corksport, RallyArmor, and making my own but RallyArmor is the best choice. Making my own would cost $60 for 4 urethane sheets, a few bucks for screws and I would have to cut them and make the holes myself. I don't have the patience to do all that and potentially end up with a crappy mudflap so that option is out. JBR is too hard and almost like plastic and after having RallyArmor basic flaps on the P5, plastic is not going to cut it. Corksport's rear mudflap does not stick out far enough for me to be comfortable with it and it costs more than the RallyArmor with shipping.

The plan for the winter is to buy a few things and get it ready for VIR in mid February. Hawk HPS pads, Goodridge SS brake lines, Wilwood brake fluid are a must. I think I will also be looking to buy a spare turbo just in case since they are fairly cheap.

After I learn the car a bit and get comfortable with it, I have bigger plans.

- CP-e HPFP
- Downpipe (Cobb or CP-e)
- Injector Seals
- Hypertech

The Hypertech will be used due to it's ease and streetability. It's a proven tune that can handle all of the bolt ons that I have and plan on having. The seals and HPFP are safeties. I don't want to take any chances. I'm looking for just a bit more power and I think that the Hypertech and downpipe will get me pretty close to the 300 whp mark.

Either way, that's about all for now. I'll snap some pics of progress soon.

Pics or it didn't happen! (JK :D)

Good info about the mud flaps. I've had my eye on the Rally Armour but I didn't know that the Corksport ones stuck out less. I think that I might like the look of the CS ones better...
