Well, who called it that, Phen? Peaches? I don't think it was me...

Regardless, let's do some wrenching, son!

2nd gen wheels on the 1st gen are sex! Looks good!

Also, I geeked at Shamu lol

Actually I think Wes called her Shamu first but I like it. :)

What parts are you putting on this weekend? RSB, perhaps?

Lol I dunno who said it first. I think I will be putting the RSB on. Motor mounts are expected to be here on Friday so those will be going on too. I also want to change Cara's Mazda6's oil and install the HID's we bought for her a while back.

Yessir!

Ivan, did you get your mounts yet?

UPS tracking shows them coming in on Friday. I got an email back from Storm and all is looking well on that front. I sent him my proposal and pics to make it official and I'm just waiting to hear back for the final word and details. I can't thank you enough my friend.

Thanks man. I'm very proud of Shamu. Even though most of the current mods were done by Tom, I feel like it's now my car and becoming that more and more every day.

I drove Shamu yesterday for the first time. Perma-smile for about 20mins after. That is a FUN freaking car. :D

You'll end up getting it, just chill and the rest will fall into place.

Quick update. Did my motor mounts yesterday. 60 duro CP-e passenger and driver side. The car feels like one piece of metal now. It is absolutely awesome. Shifts feel so much better, vibes are definitely up, and the engine noise is much higher now. The install was really not terrible but it did take me around 4 hours. I had to take stuff off and put it back on a bunch of times but I work very slow. I also installed HID's on my girlfriend's Mazda 6 and changed her oil and filter.

I also installed my new Hotchkis 32mm rear sway bar today. I haven't had the chance to try it out yet to it's full potential but it feels great.

The car is really coming along and I love it more and more every day. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Oh and the last pic is our tame racing driver...

i moto runs a 50mm rear bar on their race Speed 3's!

Holy oversteer Batman!
Those cars must rotate like crazy. Are those bars something they made up themselves or are they available to "Joe Mazda"? I would never need one, I just wondered.

I think that big bar would help them get on the power earlier with the FWD. There's so much understeer in the MS3 when you are powering out of the corner.

They fabricated their own, I'm sure if there was a demand, they would have some available. will is correct, they need to be able to get the power down and you want a FWD to rotate more. If you were auto-xing, you could over inflate the tires to get the car to rotate if you did not have a large rear sway, just a little trick I learned from Randy Pobst.

Over inflation is a good trick. A buddy of mine runs something crazy like 60 PSI in the rear tires of his MS3 to get it to rotate.
