2011 3 5 door
taking the 6i into the dealer for its first service. 3455 miles on it, bought in March this year.

Items to be looked at:
Left headlight casing fogs up in rain and carwashing
Drivers side wiper chatter
Fuse Box cover wont stay on
Plastic pieces on seat rails wont stay on (Passenger Side Only)

and of course the obligatory Oil Change. (first)

I will let y'all know my experiences at the dealer (Russell Mazda Clearwater) (gossip)

All items FiXored! $29.00 for the oil and filter.

service department was very good...and FAST!

fuse pannel in cabin is common...once it loses it's virginity it pops off at random. Eventualy it sticks untill you touch it again.

Yea...cheap plastic. Oh well great car otherwise. :)

My fuse box cover never comes off unless I take it off, my wiper chatters sometimes same as you drivers side, what did they do to fix it or what can I do to fix it since if I take it to service department they will tell me to buy a new wiper or say the wiper is dirty and make all kinds of bull s*** instead of fixing it and they wont even fix it if it doesnt chatter in front of them because in order for them to fix ANYTHING they have to see it to believe it, they still did not fix the rattle in my dash because they couldnt hear it since when the car sits in the sun for a lil bit and the dash heats up, it dont rattle no more. My rattle is from the passenger side and I can swear it's from the airbag unit cause if I bang on that specific spot really hard when the car is cold I hear something shake. I tell them it comes from the airbag compartment and that does not even concern them????? **** if there is something wrong with it and it kills or seriously injures my passenger, they are not worried about gettin sued???? So that leads me to ask, how do you take the passenger airbag off so I will take a look at it myself.

Chattering wipers are caused by mis-alignment.

I don't have this issue with my 2 yr old car. Only issue I had was the pipers being 80% slower than my dodge neon wipers. The highest setting is slower than nte neons lowest setting. Eventualy I'll find out if the motors from other mazdas are the same speed or better and make it my next mod. As for the fuse pannel, it comes loose along with the passenger door curtesy light cover on slightly hard cornering or autoX use. I havent ran my car in over 9 mos and it's killing me.

BlkZoomZoom: What needs to taken apart and realigned? Motor? Blade? Blade Arm?

It's actually the alignment of wiper blade to the windshield. Think of it as the angle that the blade contacts the windshield. Vw actually came up with a gauge to measure the contact angle with, but you don't really need it. It is very hard to explain, basically you tweak the arm one way or the other until the chattering stops.

When I had the Mazda 3, the wiper baldes were faster.

Did you have TURBO WIPERS? (rofl)
nah, I actually miss the Mazda 3's wipers sooo badly cause here in Canada it was automatic rain sensing wipers, best feature ever. Now I have to change the speed setting all the time (sad1)

no, the Canadian Mazda 6 is pretty much exactly what the US Mazda 6 is except that the optional stuff is packaged differently. I am not kidding I really miss my automatic windshiel wipers, it's one of those things like the seat heaters, once you have them, you can never go back to not have them, it's almost suicide, and what a shame I am trying to find someone for the 6 now. (bang)
