First post> how to up your compression cheap!!!!!!

Author ad libs to use your old crush washers. When I looked at the hemi plug, it has VERY little shoulder seat on it, and doesn't include a gasket(?) Why is this? Do hemis use another sealing method? This is actually the aspect of these that bother me the most right now.

Someone just have this thread removed, this is pointless, sorry for the waste of everyone's time. my car runs great. Yours with these plugs won't because I am retarded. If anyone other than me uses these plugs your car will explode and turn colors. Ps the hemi uses a 45 degree angle to seal to the head, mazda does not. That's why you need to use the crush washer. I'm just gonna hold my pedal to the floor an destroy my car, and blame these plugs to make you haters happy. Thanks to everyone for there time, again I apologise for being retarded..

I glanced at some plugs at walmart last night. I saw some with the same thread length as the hemi, but with the square shoulder and crush washers. I didn't get into looking at the heat range etc.

haha...this is awesome! ;)

I am an engine machinist for the largest builder of "FE" ford engines in the united states. www.popsperformancecenter.com > I know what I am talking about, it's not like I just decided one day to use a random spark plug, thinking that it might improve performance. I spent a good while double checking everything. I am sure there probably is another plug with the 25mm reach, and 14mm thread size that has the flat surface. I didn't know the hemi used 45 degree angle till after I bought them. I will call NGK or Autolite to cross reference another plug, and post the number. I still have no issues with the "hemi" plug, even with the difference in the sealing method, but obvisiously this is something I'm working out the slight issues with. Not everyone will use this, and that's fine, with everything there are always the "nay sayers"! I have a few other performance mods I'm working on, to boost the performance of the stock 2.0> Look for my next post it will be a big game changer for any car. And especially us p5 owners without alot of cash to add boost, or to do an engine build. I will post it today. Thanks to everyone for there comments, either way. But seriously check the my next post.

i'm all for new ideas, especially cheap mods

ppl on the saturn forum I used to be on, ran longer plugs

but im most interested in the best spot to have the spark start at in the combustion chamber

Fresh off the Autolite Techline> double platinum APP-5325 > Iridium> xp-5325 This plug is one range hotter, and has .001 more gap than stock but the 25mm reach> and the same gasket type sealing surface. I myself am still gonna run the "hemi" plug, easier to get, and cheaper. The only thing the tech guy said is watch out for carbon build up, which has been a topic, but he confirmed it would more than likely be fine.

The "long reach" plugs come stock on the MSP which is one reason why they are a safe bet.

Provided the MSP is boosted stock also. None boosted 2.0's a dog, with shity response, a very spikey rpm range. These plugs help clear alot of that up on my car. But as I previously stated, probably only works for me.(breakn)

Im thinking of also giving it a try, but I might file the threads down to avoid any carbon/removal issues.

cutting down the threads is a fair idea, that would definitly stop any removal issues from occuring. I'm planning to pull mine this weekend, to see just how much carbon they've acquired. I've put a few thousand miles on them, so it will be interesting to see what is happening. plus I want to verify that the heat range is working out.

Just because folks ask questions or pose possible scenarios does not equal hating, flaming or nay saying. Didn't see anyone really taking it to that level. Question everything is a practical, cautious, calculated, acceptable way of proceeding into the unproven unknown. It seems most were curiously grateful for the reasoned out information that was provided. Subbed for more results............

+1 nobody said it wasn't possible but people are gona be cautious about something that could destroy their engine. Not saying it will but I've seen people try something that someone else said was great and it didn't work out very well. I would like to see others try it

At one point everyone knew the world was flat. Some people dared to fall off the edge. Keep us posted on carbon build up and what heat range works best for you..

Pulled my plugs last night, with ease. Threads that were exposed, looked exactly like they did when i installed them, minus a little blackish color from the combustion gases. Heat range looked great, and I still have no issues. Sorry if I seemed a little touchy, it can be frustrating to be bombarded with questions.lmao, thanks to everyone on this post for their input, and thoughts. These plugs work well. That's all I can add, I haven't had one single issue with these plugs. If I did, I would throw them in the trash. And inform everyone here, to not run them, but that's not the case. Thanks
