it depends......... i know some people who have subarus and they put 10w30........ but only because florida is EXTREMELY hot......... when I did my oil change I put 5w30.......

i think its almost 6 quarts with filter change. look in the owners manual it tells you everything.

i used 6 full quarts when I changed out the new filter......... so yeah... 6 quarts.
