First mods... thoughts

Alright, I went to my tuner shop that I have had a relationship with for the last year and we have come up with a wee list. I would love to know your thoughts

-Downpipe w/ Highflow cat (Stainless) - $550
-Custom Aluminum CAI $150
-Custom FMIC 10x20x3 ( A guess on the dimensions, enough to fill up that gaping hole :) $1200
-Some sort of tuning, I havn't fully decided on what yet

What are your thoughts on just the downpipe? We have a pretty beefy exhaust on there already, the mufflers look pretty unrestricive, it looks like that cat is the biggest power hog from the entire system.

The fmic is just going to allow me to go wih a bigger turbo and more pressure down the road.... so it will come last.

you can get a FMIC from corksport that utilizes the stock ducting for the TMIC to make a ram air intake that goes all the way to the turbo, not just to the turbo inlet pipe. That runs for right at 1100 and time and money has been spent on R&D, not just what a shop is going to put together for you.

Unless you plan on upgrading the turbo, i would just replace the piece of exhuast between (test pipe race pipe are different names for that)the downpipe and the cat back, stock cat back is not restrictive at all

tunning will get your biggest issue, CPE is the most user friendly will the ability to tune yourself, but you also have cobb AP but you are stock with different tunes that cobb post and makes at sea level

+1 on the fmic, you can get tried and tested kits for less than your quote (which may go up in price). If I didn't have the cobb sri, I would probably get the cs fmic. In a group buy right now for under $800 for a fmic though, so $1200 seems way high to me ;) info under sig if interested.

love my corksport downpipe. REALLY affordable and gets the job done, sounds great too.

cobb ap is great and cp-e standback is surprisingly affordable as well.

Let us know what happens!!
