First Look at 2010 Speed 3

+1

I have a 08' MS3 and test drove the new 10' and left impressed. It looks a lot better in real life and drives much like the current GEN only the power builds more progressively/ linear. The shifter is improved in that its positioned a bit farter up and a tad higher, it has a very solid and direct feel when going through the gears. The clutch is lighter and easier to engage, I really liked it. Interior is very nice, has great seats and theres a ton of features standard. The integrated navigation unit is neat and the rest of the gauges are top notch. Overall its still a great car for the money and doesnt look half bad if youre open minded and can see pass all the smiley face BS people keep talking about.

This is a nice angle

When I was out for lunch today I noticed this on the lot where I bought my '07 MS3. Took some phone pics for everyone.

It doesn't look "as bad" in that colour.

My thoughts:
"Mouth" - FAIL
Spoiler - Win
Tail lights - FAIL
Wheels - Win
Hood scoop - Win
Inerior "gadgets" - Win
Colour matched rear fascia - FAIL
Dual exhaust with small tips - FAIL
Seats - FAIL
More weight - FAIL
More $$$ - FAIL
Same power as previous generation - FAIL

I wish there was more to like. (nervous)

One of the best summaries I've read. Couldn't have stated it better, except the driveability (easier clutch and shifter position) stuff :)

the dealer near me had a black and it really does look a lot better. i never got the chance to test it but i got inside and the materials look and feel cheaper than the 1st gen. the seats are like ehhh, with no mazdaspeed stitching :S

You're dead nuts on! Agree with everything you said!

the only good thing it has is a 225/45/18 Dunlop sp sport rated at 240 tread wear compared to the Bridgestone RE40 215/45/18 rated at 140 tread wear = only good for 12,000 mi.
