but hopefully not the last. Test drove a black GT today -- good gravy what a car. i've been driving a 2000 Acura TL for the last 5 years or so -- forgotten the joy of rowing my own gears and the nirvana of forced induction. My previous car was a 91 CRX with a Jackson Racing supercharger on it...of course it was nothing like the MS3. They were running short-handed in the showroom, so I got to go out unaccompanied -- probably helps that I'm closer to 40 then 30. I kept things fairly conservative, but did get a run up to about 85 before i realized it. I did notice that on aggressive runs, it feels like it comes off boost momentarily before spooling up again...could be that i'm out of practice shifting. I was also very impressed with the handling, taking a nice clover leaf to get back on the Interstate...now I see what the zoom zoom is all about (I've been a Honda guy for the last 15 years or so -- Honda's got nothing on this car). I found myself noticing more Mustangs and GTIs on the road giving me the eye...again had to remind myself I'm closer to 40 then 30.

Anyway, hard to get the car off my brain...time to decide if I want the GT or Sport and see how much they're willing to deal -- i've got nothing but time.

For you owners out there...you got a great ride.

Good luck with your purchase! Make sure you get one in Black Mica because everyone knows they get an extra 20 HP thd 30 lbs of torque because the Black is so SEXY LOL!!! jk

I thought only Type-R sticker gave you performance like that!

I should also add, I was glad to see that I can get two carseats in the back!

GT, no question. The auto headlights, wipers and the MP3 changer, plus the better seats easily make it worth the extra money. If you're in the right area, you can get a GT for what lotsa folks pay for a Sport. And BTW, the CWP is known by the USGS to be the fastest color.

NICE!! GL on your purchase if you decide to buy!!

Do the good ol pro/con to the GT and the Sport..

The GT has the best features in my opinion...I have it minus the NAVI...that's where my TOM TOM fits in perfectly..hehe.....

Oh yeah, BLACK MICA does give it that extra go power! YEY YEY!!

(iagree) I could just about copy your post. Coming from an 03 Accord V6 with some pretty nice upgrades to my GXP put a huge grin on my V8 Loving Face, but going back to forced induction after about 7 years in a very toss-able ride is causing that grin to get bigger.

I am going to keep my GXP for a few months, but have decided to pick up my MS3GT this weekend (2thumbs)

I picked up the GT over the Sport, and it was only like a 2k difference so that's not that bad considering what you get, I did opt out on the Nav system since I can just use a garmin or something like that.

Good luck with the purchase, and I agree with MikeHTally CWP is the fastest color.

Me too. I had the factory Navi on an Accord not long ago and honestly, it was awesome, but I drove that car for work and built in was the way to go. Now, however, I have a portable unit and even better have had one on my BlackBerry 8800 that I've been using for over 1.5yrs and it's awesome too. You really don't need a big screen. I listen to it more than look at it anyway.

I'm excited. Can't sleep as you can tell :) Bummer is that it's going to rain on Saturday when I get it. Good news is that's an excuse to detail her Sunday, and the next 5 days are supposed to be really nice here :)

I purchased a Metro Mica Gray last week. Breakin miles completed on Thursday. Just did 20% tint all around. GT no Navi for the extra $2K you can get a real good protable. Beside that the OEM Nav lock out much of the functionality when rolling AND all of the controls are in the consolue not touch screen.

So DO IT MAN you won't regret it.

FYI owned a stock CRX and test drove a SI Coupe before this purchase DAMN glad I went with this little critter!

Exactly....and I'm picking up your twin. Still deciding on what I'm going to do about tint/wheels.
Tint's easy -- 5/15/15/5/15. I'd like to find a set of RX-8 wheels or something very close. My painted calipers are buried behind the stock wheels. :D

just finished cleaning up the Acura, maybe I'll swing by the dealer on Monday after work and see if there looking to deal since it's getting close to the end of the month. I've seen the threads questioning if there's going to be a MS3 for 09' though I don't recall seeing a final yes/no. Car and Driver lists the MS3as unchanged for 09, though I'm not sure that can be called an authoritative yes. Assuming there will be a 09, when do they usually start showing up -- figure that would be a good time to snag a 08.

thanks for all the feedback, I'm pretty convinced to go ahead and get the GT; after all, it's only money.

I dont know, auto wipers are a huge pain in the ass and the sport has MP3 too if its the 08.5. The HID's and LED's are nice also the alcantara looks nice but they arent a big deal to me. Extra money better spent on an upgraded motor mount and shifter bushings or short shifter in my opinion. Its all personal preference and how good of a deal you can negotiate. Regardless the CWP is just amazing.

I love the auto wipers when it's raining, they take care of the speed whether it's drizzling or a downpour. The thing is, you can't really leave the wiper set to auto all the time, because sometimes they'll turn on for no reason. Seems to have something to do with transitions from sunlight/shade or vice versa.
