Firewall pass through MS3?

Is the only firewall pass through on the MS3 where the hood release cable goes? Getting ready to wire up a boost/vacuum gauge (mechanical) and it looks like a tight fit to get the hose/and wires through there. Don't want to pinch the boost/vacuum hose line. Unless removing the stock grommet from the hole exposes a bigger diameter. Thanks for any help from you guys who have down this...

I have my vacuum line and 4 wires from my standback going though that grommet. It can be done. :)

No crimping in 2 years!

final results...

that looks like my same set up! :) looking good!

you should come to FLI's track day in a month or 2 :)

FineLineImports, they are in santa rosa the specialize in subaru's but they work on almost any car. i had them do my springs & dp/rp on my speed. They are going to be holding a track day at thunder hill and it would be nice to have another speed3 owner along.

Maybe I'm a little late to the game on running wire through the firewall. I found a different route for what it's worth.

If you open the driver's side door, and look through the opening into the left front fender, you can see light all the way to the headlight assembly. It's easy to run a cable through there. Then look at the body in the general area of the hinge to the door and you'll see a rubber grommet. You can make a hole in the grommet and pass your wires or cable through that. There is a corresponding opening in the body wall behind the plastic kick panel. It is perfect for running the wires into the passenger compartment and under the dash.

Maybe some of the audiophiles have posted about this in a separate thread, but I discovered this as a way to provide power straight from the battery for a GTech Pro accelerometer.
