Your that guy from carolinadsm that posted about his brothers p5? Im the kid that ricer todd said has a turbo mp3, the kit is going to be for sale soon btw... but we're having a meet soon in raleigh, tell your brother to come up, there should be a few FI proteges there.
 
Yeah Thats Me! Small world. He has since relaxed his urges for Boost and is contemplating just doing stuff like cams and headers. However, I will tell him about your kit for sale. When is this meeting? He Primarily AutoXes and The car and I don't think he needs to be in a Street Modified class just yet, it handles really well with the Mazda Speed suspension and AMS sways compliment, so far it has outrun everyother MP3 and MS Prot he's competed against AUtoXing so he's gonna stick with his All Motor Wagon for now :p Dut damn its a good looking CAR!

Hmm had the safc running in both my 95 custom turboed mx6 and my 98gsx on the mazda i had to map the entire ecu to find the wires and then just ended up runing wires straight from the maf for the karman counts...glad to see a fellow dsmer on the forums! the datalogger is a very useful tool, I kept mine when i sold the gsx and now use it on the msp..data rates are slow but other than that it read perfect...then i can upload it to my java worksheet and view the graphs of o2 voltage and figure out where im lean and rich....by far the most useful feature for the palm device...(well untill the cable was stolen and now they wont give me a new copy of the program without the serial # off the cable) hehe dsmer wanner snag me another copy of the program!? as far as the ecu goes ours is eprom meaning it is easily reprogrammed via a eprom burner and a computer program to run it. As soon as Iget my hands on a spare or decide to dismantle mine I'll have the eprom # for everyone. hopefully it isnt a motorola which are notorious for stamping the eproms with fake #s making it impossilbe to tell the chip set! if anyone has a worksheet on what the hex binary actually means that would be helpful..perhaps the printout of the flashed and flashed should be sufficient to tell what packet does what. now on to cfm and turbos. I dont think a turbo upgrade is necessary on a stock (pistons and rods wise) engine. its flows a fair amount of air and is efficient for the psi a stock engine can handle. for my old mx6 it was 12psi and i believe ive herad 15ish is the magic # for the msp. My personal favorite is the Big16g which has an incredible flow rate and maintains effic. at higher boost levels..little laggy though. Now if i had afully built race engine I'd run a Frank 3 turbo! the ultimate in flow!!!! hehe too bad you'd have to have a 50 shot to spool it up! ok im running on now and this thread is actually one of the more constructive ones Ive come across on this board so I'll shut up and stay on topic...
