fewest miles on one tank of gas? :)

no the thing in the car is correct. you just don't look at it when you are accelerating up to speed. Going at a set mph it is correct. But if you stop alot you dont go from 0mpg to 30. you know what i mean

Dude, the MPG display thing in the car is way off!

uhhh i don't know if they make them different in the US, but i just picked up my MS3 today and had 510 KM's (320 Mi) and the gas light wasn't even on yet... weird?

have any of you guys figured out the real mpg your getting?

Mine is brand new, but I have gone 100 miles, filled it and figured out the mileage to be 25mpg. This is on a brand new car, many times into the boost, and some mix of city / highway. According to my calculations I will be able to get somewhere north of 300 miles per tank @ this rate. Not bad for all the fun involved :) and much better than my old jeep, which got 200 miles per 16 gallon tank on a good day. 11 mpg was the average for that pig on wheels.

Time will tell what I get once it's fully broken in, rings seated and full power potential has been achieved....

I probably average about 180-200 miles before the light comes on, but there have been a couple tanks of exclusive "spirited" city driving where I only got ~135-140 miles before the light illuminated.

Driving exclusively on the highway, my actual mileage falls between 23-27 mpg.

I get on average 260 miles per tank...or in between fills. Though I fill up every 3 days... :(

I'm spending over $300 a month on fuel; definitely well over $300... (bang)

Thats cheap. I had a jeep before the speed3, and was spending over $600 a month on gas. (bike)

yea i have a jeep grand cherokee and i get 11mpg and have to put 93 into with all the modifications i have done to it. I get 209 miles for 19 gallons of gas i cant wait to get my ms3 delivered in june.

Wait, you let your car idle for 10 minutes, or you just don't pound on it for 10 minutes??

All of that idle time can add up, and can definitely adversely affect your mileage...

weather affects my mpg for sure. colder it is the worse i get. (now this is only to a point, when im saying cold i mean 35 and below)

when I star my car first time at the morning I always let her idle for a few minutes until I warmed up and evey other time I start her I let her idle for 30 seconds atleast and before I turn her of I alway let ehr idle for 1 min

I would rather lose a couple miles on a tank and let the car warm up properly. Idling a few minutes on start up may only lose a few miles on a tank. Your foot to the floor can go through mch more gas than idling for a few minutes.

Although... my brother in law slept in his Tundra one evening because he had been drinking... it went through a good 2/3 tank before he woke up.

Thats when you know youve let your car idle for too long. (doh)

I took a huge plummet in gas mileage when the winter hit.

I went from getting about 250 to about 180 a tank.

My commute is a little over a mile away. And don't drive it any different than any other car.

So I get about 16-17mpg. It is already doing better since the weather got wamer however. I have 130 miles on a half a tank.

I have had my car for almost a year and I am still under 2000 miles and bone stock.(band)

so i drove it like i stole it on the way to my sisters house 430 miles away open highway middle of no where zipped up to 130-140 mph a few times got 18 mpg and on the way back i set cruse control and got 27 miles per gallon

Is that what your trip computer said or was it your actually milage?

If it was what your trip computer displayed substract (-) at least 3mpg.

when I first got my 2008 MS3 I was getting about 260-280 a tank anddriving it break in style. After 1000 miles I was hitting 5000-5500 RPMS and getting about 250-260. I had a wild hair and saw how it was if I did NOT drive normally and kept it under 4000 for one tank...did that and I hit 377 miles !!!! The fuel line WAS way under the Empty line too......about one tick mark worth under the "E"
