it's a SMG. Clutchless manual...the computer does it all for you. Shifts gears in something like .15sec. The little knob on the lower right of the steering wheel controls how aggressive it shifts and the stiffness of the suspension.
It has the Enzo engine in it, and is WAY more refined than a 430, haveing driven both, I would DEFINATELY own a Fiorano long before a 430.
I haven't driven them far, just around the lot, and around the block, took the 430 on the freeway.......right into 5pm traffic, so......the onramp was fun. But the Fiorano is a MUCH better car. It has also been noted by several publications as the BEST Ferrari to date.
The entire interior is carbon fiber (including the seats) bonded to aluminum, with parts of it wrapped in leather.......I don't know how they are when used for a bit, but brand new, the hardening resins are more prominent (smell) than the leather.......they stink when new.
the BEST Ferrari to date? Thats a pretty big statement, considering all the absolutely incredible cars Ferrari has put into production, like the f50, Enzo, and my all-time favorite (even though not the most powerful or refined, but damn sexy) 360 modena.
^^^ They are saying it my friend... best Ferrari evar! I'm inclined to think so too. It's a balance of power, style and refinement that no other Ferrari has equaled.
It's a 599GTB not a 559... horespower. .. from the Enzo (glare)
