FD's on Proteges Club

+55, so +40 total. Stock MP3 RH's have the same specs as the MSP RH's.
gotcha, so same spec as my car had on it when I bought it... yeah, that'll rub, just a bit, and only when loaded. 5 less mm of offset and you'd be WELL into the fender.

if you're barely rubbing, then you should be OK for a bit... but rubber meeting steel is really not good under any circumstance.

The rear tires had "ribbons" coming off of them for a little while. (lol2)

Those tires are bald anyways, they will be getting rotated out shortly. I left the dead tires on to get chewed up for that reason. ;)

^^So ur saying that the rim will touch the strut?

I panicked when I was putting the fronts on because before I snugged up the lug nuts, it was sitting on the strut right where it bolts to the knuckle.. once I snugged the lug nuts down it was fine... but the clearance is WAY tight.

gotta say one of the best protege5's ive seen(thumb)

So i tested them out today. Looks like the rears touch the strut so ill need some spacers. The fronts already have 5mm spacers so those fit just fine(pinky clearance). A quick pic i took. I dont think im going to paint them. I kinda like the black and primered look.

did you check the seat on the rear hub face? you need a spacer there to get the rim to sit flush. forget about the strut clearance- if it doesnt seat, you cant run it. looks nice though.

i'm going to have to take some measurements tonight...

so, i dont have as much clearance in the back as i thought i did. while at my ride height, i think i could get away with a 15mm spacer, any lower and i'd be rubbing - unless i dialed in more rear camber.

idk if I'm down with the primer, but whatever works for you.. get on that rubber. Don't make me mail you tires! LOL

Huh?! none of this post made sense.

^^LOL. Found some tires. Just gonna wait for funds to roll in. I like how 16s make my calipers/rotors look huge. haha.

the rims does seat its the clearance thats a problem

Also Mcbadass thanks!!!

in the rear, there is a lip on the rim bore that prevent it from seating on the hub face. THAT's why you need a spacer in the rear. (or get the rim machined out)

didn't have that problem. I just put it on to clear the strut. the hubcentric dropped right in for me.
