Okay, wanna freak out your friends? Drop in Sarah McLachlan... I'm not kidding. From the Surfacing Album. "I love you" The whole song is strong rolling bass that the average Sarah listener would never know's there. It kinda rolls down and then thumps. Not SUPER low, but if you're running a DBish tuned ported box, it'll get downright violent.
There's one song I can't quite recall I believe it's called "ghost" like track 7 or so on Live's horrible "secret Samahdi" cd that drops about as low as I've non-artificially heared... apart form that, Dave Matthews Band gets down there as well. I actually use alot of Dave for tuning. I used to love out-bumping the Lowriders with DMB just to be a cock.
As for serious stuff. Dan The Automator AKA just plain Automator's "A much Better Tomorrow" hits hard all the way through. IF you've never heared his stuff, check it. it's bordering on techno a bit toomuch for me generally, but still alright.
Oh, and lately I've taken a liking to OutKast's "The Way You Move" for boom.
Andyea, who can argue Paul Revere back in the day, I remember, I used to love watching my Pyles pushing hard in my cheezy bandpass box to that. Now it just gives me an inverse headache with my current setup *L*
