Im in the field of looking for new tires. i was wandering what size faulkens can i buy for my stock 16X7 195/50/16 tire? alot of people are telling me to try a set out and see if i like it. right now i have the kumho 712's which i love alot. they are great tires for the money and they aren't as bad in the rain as some people say. also are the faulken tires better than the kumhos(performance wise and rain wise cause it rains alot in georgia, i could care less how long they last, i've gotten $20k miles out of my kumhos with alot of wheel spin and tires balanced and rotated every 6k miles) and what's the price for a set of four? thanks for all the info and reading.

I purchased a set of Kumho ASX's not too long ago for the Probey. Very impressed so far. My father put Falkens on his Audi per my suggestion and he's been very happy with them.

I purchsed my Kumho's on Tirerack for $73 a piece in 225 50 16's. The 712's were only $3 less per tire, and I heard good things about the ASX's. Glad I went with those. No noise when driving unlike the Toyo Proxes FZ4's I had prior.

the asx are the all season tires right, i have the max performance one's, the road noise doesn't bother me that much cause i dont do too much highway driven. but yeah i never hear anything bad about kumho's all the way around. the only bad thing is road noise but with any high performance tire your going to get road noise and also with any performance springs on top of that.

You can put the Falken ZE-512s 205/50/16s on the stock rim. I recently had them put on and they are great. Much better than the stock dumbflops in rain. You can get them from http://discounttiredirect.com/

I've heard that people put 215/40/16s on as well...

that's coo, thanks for the info.

The FK451 will be the better handling tire, but ziex will get you a little more milage.

I had the FK451 when i had some 18's and they are a great handing tire, but if you are

going for an all season tire the ziex will be better. Try lookin into some 205/50/16,

you proly will find some cheaper tires in this size.

Yeah, forgot I use all season since it dosen't snow where I live. (well, once every 20 years or so)

im looking for a performance tire because it doesn't snow but for like 2 days if that, but it rains alot so wet traction is important to a point. i dont care about the extra mileage because im fine with buying new tires every year in a half or so.

The FK451's would be a better choice of tire then, you can squeeze 20K mi. out of

them if you keep them rotated every 5K.

yeah i think i'll give them a try. now i have to wait till january because i still have to do chrismas shopping starting this weekend.

I just got the Kuhmo 712 Ecsta Supras and they seem great so far.Was supposed to get the ASXs but couldn't wait anymore, took too long!Needed new fronts baaaddd!I kinda wanted the ASXs cuz of the 420 tread life but I guess another 360 is better than some other tires.

I just wore out a set of 712's. They came on the car when I bought it. I ended up getting about 30K out of them. AND that includes a season of autocrossing on them. I was pretty happy with them, and would recommend them, but not for autocrossing. Enjoy them, they stick pretty good.:)

i have kumho 712's on my car right now, they are almost gone. i could probably keep them for another 3 months but i dont want to risk wrecking my car cause january and february are the ice months in georgia. im just wanting to try out something new. so between the toyo's and faulken's, which one sticks better? the kumho 712s are good tires but im sure there are other tires that stick alot better. so out of the three tires, which one sticks the best?
