Farewell To My CX-9

Turned my CX-9 in today, as lease ended.

I must say I was very pleased with the vehicle. It was very reliable. Only had a few issues, such as brake pad replacement (TSB), broken gas cap tether, piece of trim fell off, power seat harness (recall). Never failed to start or left me stranded. Lots of fun to drive, which is why I selected it.

Of course it had several design faults, which have been discussed in this forum.

In case someone ends up with it and joins this forum, last 6 of VIN is 131895. Someone will get a great vehicle, as not one dent or ding, very minor scratches, some paint chips that I touched up, and interior almost as nice as the day I took delivery.

I was allowed 31,528 miles, and turned it in with 18 to spare. Great timing on my part. (cabpatch)

I know what you mean. Often people trade their cars with significant problems or in poor condition but my trades have almost always been meticulously maintained, so whoever wound up with them got themselves good deals as far as the vehicles' mechanical and general condition were concerned.

P.S.
That hole in that mountain is a great shot!

I hung in here at the forum as I was considering getting my wife a 2010 CX-9. She got the new car bug after I bought the 2011 Q7. We found one she liked yesterday, but ended up getting her a 2011 Kia Sorento SX. Traded her 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited in for it.

Oh well, guess not much need to hang out here anymore. Wishing all of you enjoyment with your CX-9--great vehicle!
